how I lost the weight
I was 215lbs when I started my journey of weight loss... I now weigh 155 and I am 5'10...
I got started by joining a masters swim team and then eventually bought p90x... insanity and now doing turbo fire (I love beachbody products)
Supplements I take are CLA... Protien... Lean Green... Daily Vitamin...
My diet consists of high protien and low carb with lots of fruits and vegtables and healthy fats like avacado...
I followed the p90x diet plan (not meal plan) and workouts...
by following this regiment it allowed me to loose 60lbs in less than 1 year.... and I am feeling better than I ever have in my entire life... Still looking forward to loosing more weight and getting more toned and cut up...
my suggestions for others are... pick a goal... find out what you want and what motivates you! and GO FOR IT!*~* Rachel Elizabeth *~*

Hi everyone! Some really great transformations going on!
I was wondering if anyone knew about any transformation contests that are getting ready to go? I'd love to join one to track my progress, and lord knows I could use the motivation!

This is my first post in these forums! I'm so inspired by all of you and have really enjoyed reading through the site in the past few days.
I began working out around a year ago, but didn't get serious about bodybuilding until June of this year. I had kind of fallen into the trap of doing an hour of cardio a day without weight training to complement it. Now I love nothing more than lifting. Since starting with a new trainer this summer, I've learned a LOT (esp. in regards to dieting habits). My body fat percentage went down from 28% in the 2nd week of June to 22.8% in Sept.
First picture is the best I could find of what I looked like before starting to work out at all. It was taken in a club, so clearly not the best representation of my then-figure. Horrifying in retrospect, but I wouldn't be where I am without that part of my past, right? The second is from June, and the last photo was taken last week. I'm aiming for 20% body fat.

My 45 Year Old Wife And Training Partner

My wife went from 140 lbs. (size 11) January 19, 2009 to (height is 5'5") ...
117 lbs. (size 0) September 19, 2009 and the NPC Ohio State Figure Championship ... we both learned a lot from her first competition.
Vicki wanted to get in shape after being out of shape for a while.
Vicki trained three days per week using mostly free weights (Push / Pull / Legs) ... cardio on her days off using cardio equipment at the gym .. plus, a mini trampoline at home. Vicki did the exact exercises that I do ... most compound including squats, deadlifts, bench press etc.
Vicki used a variety of Beverly International Supplements
Vicki's diet was mainly fresh vegetables, chicken breast, oatmeal, egg whites, your typical bodybuilding diet with a variety of Beverly Supplements
Vicki has accomplished much and has now become a figure model.
Working out with and coaching Vicki ... I would say advice would be to formulate a master plan including training; cardio; diet and rest ... use a training journal and the mirror to keep you motivated as well as magazines such as Oxygen and Beverly Internationals No Nonsense (FREE) Newsletter they mail out http://www.bodybuildingworld.comLast edited by Magnusverdixon; 10-09-2010 at 05:03 PM. Fantastic
Hey all,
Such a fantastic read! Very inspirational. Currently I'm 5'3" and weigh 196lbs. I had my little girl in April 2010 and am still breastfeeding but my determination for this year is to compete at the NZ NABBA champs in September 2011 in their figure class. Already had 3 epic workouts this week.
I'm looking forward to posting my progress pics, I SO have to lose my baby pooch!

Good luck! I'm just starting my journey too.
I'm 5'10" and thanks to a back injury, I went from being a 140lb triathlete to weighing 215lbsI've been fluctuating up and down between 200-210 for the last 7 or 8 months. The back has been healed for a while, so last month I finally decided enough was enough.
I started at 205lbs, 30% BF on Jan 22. As of this morning, I'm down to 193lbs
Those 12lbs were lost entirely through diet. I've always eaten nutritious food, I just didn't realize how much I was eating until I started calorie counting last month. I went from eating approx 2500 calories per day to now eating 1400-1500 calories per day. What a difference!!
I'll be starting to incorporate more exercise into my daily routine next week. Once the snow clears and I can start running again, the pounds should start melting off. I'll be digging that old bikini out of the closet in time for summerLast edited by canjad80; 02-11-2011 at 03:10 PM.
