Oh thank you! I did three months of prep to get into comp condition. I had a coach who gave me a meal plan with specific macros to hit each day, a training plan, etc. All the usual stuff.
But in a nutshell, you just need to train hard, eat below maintenance calories while hitting required macros and stay consistent. One week of 'clean eating' isn't going to give you results. You gotta stick at it!

These are not recent pictures - they are from when I was aiming to gain weight, whereas now I aim to lose - but, here is a twelve-month gain from around 5st 7 (underweight) to 7st 3 (healthy weight).

Note the slightly disproportionately muscular calves in the 7st 3 picture. I'd not been skipping leg day - every day had been leg day!
