^ Ronnie Coleman has 25's, but who gives a rats ass? On topic, like the first responder said, it is subjective. Height, arm length, and how the muscle is peaked, among other things, all affect "visual size" if you will. A shorter guy can be huge looking, and have smaller arms. It all depends.

like some others have said measurements are not the most important factor its more the proportion of the arms as opposed to the rest of the body

First off, if your talking about other bodybuilders, then 16+ will get you some nice attention, 17+ alot more , 18 will make you a celeb (natural).
If your talking about looking like you have big biceps while non bodybuilders judhge your arms, 15+ will look quite large to them.
And it depends on height.
Im only 5 ft 5, so my 15 inchers look like 16s in relation to my body.Miscer

From bodybuilders standards 16+ is about when you are considered big, from the average joe standards about 15 to 15.5 is considered big...I get comments about my barely above 15 inch arms all the time..maybe its because I've gone from 12 inch arms.
Porportion has a lot to do with it too, if you have 16 inch arms and a big fat belly then they aren't going to look as big as a trim and cut person with 16 inch arms.

well...I think my 17" arms look small on my 6'2" frame. This is most likely due to my lack of peak and way bigger tri to bi ratio. Also, since I have always been skinny Im sure I see myself a lil different in the mirror (small).

It really is quite subjective. I'm 6"6 and have 17 inch biceps, and from just looking at them they arn't anything special, it's only when you actually compare them to someone else(with smaller arms) that they dwarf them. I'd say 15 inches from 5ft-5ft 6 is big, from 5ft7-5ft11 16 is big, but for 6ft-6ft2 17 inches is big, 6ft3-6ft5 18 is big, and from 6ft6 onwards, you be deemed big/huge you would need 19 incher or +
Also, the size of your shoulder plays a good part in it, if you bicep peak goes past your shoulders, then your biceps would be considered big/hooge, but all that means is you don't work your shoulders properly, as they should dwarf the **** out of you armsLast edited by Vamped; 04-21-2006 at 10:53 PM.

I thought your bi's looked fine from the pic, but I have the same affliction -- I feel that I look small but friends use endearment terms such as "Big guy" and mock me in an Austrianesque voice from time to time. I look in the mirror and see a list of "needs improvements" I think that's a good attitude to have because it allows me (and those like me) focus to see areas that we want to improve. Usually we do. But anyhow, on topic -- I'm 6'0" and have 16.5 inch biceps -- I think they look small on my frame, but that's just me...****************************************

I'm around 5'4", and for some reason my 13 Inch arms look big on me, even though I consider that kind of weak.(Not my arms, my arm size) Have to get some pics to compare.
And people generally think my arms are big when I am wearing smaller shirts, so it must because of my height.1 Stripe Blue Belt, Gracie Barra BJJ (Reps to BJJ/MMA brahs)
