    Back/shoulders back-to-back?

    I work back on wedsnesday and shoulders on thursday...is this overworking, especially if I'm doing a barbell row and then a rear delt row?

    What does your back workout and shoulder workout look like? Also, what is your split in general?

    Shoulders:
    -2 sets military press
    -2 sets arnold press
    -3 sets upright rows/lateral raises
    -3 sets rear delt exercise (haven't really decided on a good one yet, but I may just do barbell rows to the neck)

    Back:
    -3 sets deadlifts
    -3 sets pullups (assisted or on my own, depending on when in the workout)
    -3 sets barbell row to bellybutton

    My split:

    mon-off
    tues-chest
    weds-back
    thurs-shoulders
    fri-off
    sat-arms
    sun-legs

    what? Wouldn't any rowing motion use BOTH rear delts AND back to some degree? I also know for a fact that pullups use rear delts a little.

    your working the rear delt in the same workout. So it doesnt matter if you hit it twice in your workout. Its not like your hitting it one day and then again the next. dont worry about it.

    Should be fine. Yeah, exercises like rows may hit your rear delts to an extent, but the delts are marely assisting your back, it's not getting all the load/ the same load as your back is. I haven't had any issues in the last 2 years of training back/ shoulders on consecutive days or whatever
