    The Ultimate Summer Shred Log!

    Terminator6600's Ultimate Summer Shred


    With the help of all you great people on BB.com, I have finalized my stack, workout, and nutrition plan for my ultimate summer shred, and I am set to go to begin a log next week! Any input for tweaks, etc. to my nutrition/exercise would be welcome! I cannot modify my stack at this time, as I have completed my BB.com order, and have picked some of the best regarded products on this forum. I am still however open to suggestions on tweaking my stack after my first cycle. Thanks, and enjoy!

    Height: 6'4"
    Weight: 201.3lb
    Body Fat: 16.2%
    Estimated TDEE: 3600 Calories
    Goal: Six-pack (primary), guns, shoulders, nice pecs by summer.

    -I'm so excited to start this! I can already feel my abs coming in for summer!
    -The NaNO seriously helped my pump and focus today. It was my first time taking 3 scoops, and it makes a lot of difference. I felt fully energized, and I just wanted to grab something heavier and heavier.. lol.
    -Oh, and I'm officially a PurpleWraath junkie. Tasty. Tingly. Enduring.
    -My macros were really dead on. I just need to start upping my fat content a little and decrease my carbs as the weeks go on. I didn't have any urges to cheat today, so that's good.
    -It will be interesting to start this without the Lean Xtreme.. once that gets in, I'll probably start it at the beginning of the next week after it comes, so I can get a good comparison of my progress with the LX and without it.
    -I had some pieces of a really good roast chicken for dinner tonight.. mmmm.. it was tasty.
    -I'm stoked for the results at the end of this shred, and will be excited to hear your input!

So that's a more rough estimation than the day before. I kind of overshot carbs a little today too from the pre-HIIT carbs I had this morning before running. Maybe on HIIT days I'll not eat my ABB bar.
    -I'm awfully surprised I haven't received any feedback yet, as I'm putting a lot of effort into this. Though I'm not doing it for anyone else in particular, some feedback and encouragement would be nice.
    -Chest/Tris tomorrow. Can't wait!
    -LX still hasn't shipped out. =/
    -I'm starting to feel the creatine bloat.. lol. I felt like a freakin' whale at work and I came home and weighed myself and I was actually a little less than I was yesterday.. lol.

    -I still can't beat the damn carbs no matter how hard I'm trying. I think part of the thing is the 33g of carbs in the ABB Steel bars. I think my carbs will be under much better control when I get my Optimum Protein bars. I would have been fine, but I totally spaced that NaNO has 36g of carbs (maltodextrin IIRC) in it per 3 scoops so the creatine can be absorbed faster. I'm gonna get this down!!
    -Today's pump was AMAZING. Especially during the BB Benchpress - it felt almost like I was lifting air.. lol.. even up to 153lb (yeah, my gym uses weird weight plates that aren't even.. lol) I was just going for it. I was much more focused and got more done today.
    -Maybe my form is weird on the incline benchpresses? I couldn't tack on much weight, and it kicked my ass.. huh. I'll look up form for it and make sure I have it down for next week.
    -Cable crossovers are kinda fun.
    -My weakling triceps make me laugh.. they'll get bigger though!
    -Woo! Almost a week of this has gone by, and I love it!

    Tomorrow is gonna be clean as a whistle!

    I'm shooting for only 50g of carbs tomorrow, which will all come from my pre-WO naNO Vapor, and the small amount of carbs in the ON Whey.

    For lunch I have salad (lettuce, tomato, 0-carb italian dressing), and cultured cottage cheese.

    Dinner will be a Syntha-6 and a can of tuna.
    And of course lots of water. Oh yeah.. gotta watch for those carbs in the water.

    Damn carbs are gonna GTFO tomorrow. lol.

    curious, what is the foundation for your workout (I may have overlooked it). Are you doing a keto or carb cycling derivative?

    -New records!!! Woohoo! Leg days always make me feel like a beast.. and with this naNO.. geesh.. I'm getting incredible pumps. It's like I can keep going all day. I definitely could have kept going with the squats, but decided I didn't want to tire out my quads to the point I couldn't finish my workout.
    -My diet was cleeeeean today. Which brings up a question.. should you include your carbs in your pre-WO creatine in your total for the day? (Won't be an issue soon since I'm switching to GM/WF after the naNO is gone) I've seen mixed discussion about this. I have been, which is why the numbers are a bit higher on lifting days - trying to adjust that down. I didn't have my ABB bar today.. I miss it, but I dunno how the hell I can fit the carbs in my diet. Maybe I could eat them pre-HIIT. I dunno.
    -I started loading creatine today. I know some say it's not neccessary, but I decided why not? The bottle of Dymatize Creatine was only like.. 10 bucks or something, and better safe than sorry. I'll be loading for a week.
    -A jug of naNO Vapor is DAMN small when you're taking 3 scoops 4x a week. o.O I've had it for a week and I only have about a week left. It's been giving me great results though.. we'll see how it stacks up to WF/GM.
    -I still haven't received much feedback, albeit the high view count.. don't be afraid to say something.

    -I tried doing a carb-up day today, to restock the good ol' glycogens for next week. Next week I'm really gonna hit this thing on the head. I'm gonna head over to Walgreens tomorrow and buy some Ketostix because I really want to start this ketosis. I've been gradually reducing my carbs, but I think it's time to go for the gusto. I'm gonna be changing some of my supps around the week after, not because the current ones aren't working, just want to try something else. More on that when they get here. I'm also trying to reduce my calories more.. today was way low because of the lack of fat - kind of good that I'm training myself to eat ketogenically. I know I probably didn't hit ketosis at all this week, as my carbs were still 100+. It's hard, and the idea of eating 60% fat still scares me like hell - it's so against what I've been taught all my life, but it makes sense, and it's obviously been working for other people.
    -LeanXtreme still hasn't shipped out. Come ON BB.com! Still on backorder...
    -Once again, today I looked at myself in the mirror and I was all pumped and vascular. One of my buddies challenged me to an arm wrestling match - he's pretty defined too. Vein poppin' action there.
    -Creatine loading has been stressful to say the least.. good ol' Dymatize packed 5g of the stuff into 8.. count 'em 8 pills. So I have to pop a handful of pills every 4 hours or so. -_-
    -Wow.. I'm really bitchy right now about everything. I only slept 6 hours last night because I was stupid and stayed up. I still was able to get up for my morning fartlek, which kicked my ass but was wonderful. Eh. Time to sleep. It's the weekend, baby.

    -Woohoo! I hit the keto macros today. BUT.. I felt like **** all day. I still do. After the MAN Scorch I picked up a bit, but I've been low energy and cranky all day. Oh, and my breath is starting to get bad.. :P I still need to get those Ketostix tomorrow to see how it's going. I've been spreading the gospel of ketosis to everyone now.. everyone's as confused as hell just like I am.. I think I can make sense of it now. After dinner I seriously felt drunk I had such bad brain fog. I was having trouble typing and all.. lol. Maybe a pro to some? I slept for 13 hours last night, so I've had plenty of sleep.. it's definitely low glucose levels.
    -I'm also finally getting used to doing all the keto food prep, shopping, etc. As you can see from my calorie level, today was a bit difficult trying to get in all of my calories, without resorting to doing shots of olive oil.. *rolls eyes*. Oh well.. my satiation levels were very strange today.. most of the day I felt stuffed and kind of sick.. I had some bad runs, but I would get these peaks of feeling extremely hungry for short periods of time. Maybe this was my body going back and forth from slight ketogenesis to glucogenesis? I dunno.
    -LX still isn't shipped out.. I got in touch with the DS reps and they said it's been selling like mad, and a snowstorm halted their shipping, and their production is way slower than the demand. They said it's their first priority though.
    -I think my body is kind of confused about what to do. I got some amazing pumps today, and I also got things like randomly not being able to Db curl 45s. Weird.. I can ususally get in 3 or 4. Maybe my biceps aren't recovered fully. I just hope I'm avoiding catabolism the best I can.
    -Well, I'm starting to get really groggy again, so I think I'm off to bed. Gnight and thanks in advance for answering any questions I have in my notes. Reps will be upon you.

    I've just come off Cytolean and Thyrotabs, which is a brill stack for getting lean.

    Thought I'd try hydroxycut hardcore, as I've seen a few threads, but no real backing on it.

    I'll probably get some prolab cuts II to stack with that. $11-13 for 240 tabs, and the stuff works. Can't go wrong.

    I'm doing 1500-1900 cals a day, because I still want some muscle to build, but loose weight at the same time.

    Btw, for summer you'll have no top and shorts (i hope :P). Make sure you work your legs and back! Get your lats going to, make your self broad.

    Hahaha.. just kidding. I did Hydroxycut Hardcore last spring without knowing a whole lot and had some big noob losses.. I cut my calories and did HydroxyHC and some good cardio almost daily and lost 40lb in the course of the 210 gelcap bottle - most of it being fat. I've been intrigued by Thyrotabs, but am not quite decided if I want to take T3/T4 precursors.. does it require PCT?

    And yeah - I had a hell of a leg workout the other day. My calves have always been my most cut and firm muscle group on my whole body, even when I was fat - and I definitely lost some fat and gained some muscle on my quads since I started lifting again a couple months ago. My back is also coming along nicely - and I enjoy working my shoulders.

    I picked up some ketostix today. Tested negative. Oh well, it's only been one day. Log comin' up later!

    -Picked up my ketostix from Walgreens today.
    -I felt way perkier today than I did yesterday - we'll see how that pans out tomorrow when I'm back lifting again and taking NaNO Vapor (which has been giving me some post-WO sickness for the past week, like I hear happens with all NO products for the first few weeks).
    -I woke up this morning and I felt really lean - I looked at myself in the mirror and felt more defined.
    -Hopefully pretty soon here my body will start heading over to ketosis.. I've been letting the glycogens drain out pretty hardcore for a while now.
    -The MAN Scorch seems to be having more of a positive effect on my energy now than when I was still using carbs in my diet - I feel more energetic with it.. kinda nice it's helping me along.
    -The plan of attack is locked in.. week two starts now!

    I found a supp called Prolab Thermofire and dam, it has everything! A months supply for only $20! I ordered 2 just like that, with prolab cuts II to stack with.

    As for the TT, it doesn't need PCT. Was pretty nice, especially with Cytolean.

    I just need some Lean Extreme 2.0 in and my stack will be done:

    Prolab Thermofire
    Prolab Cuts II
    Designer Supplements Lean Extreme 2.0

    Should be strong, well a lot stronger than HH :P

    Oh yeh, what's all this ketostix and ketosis etc? Completely lost there.

    Nice.. looks like a solid stack. And nah.. Hydroxycut Hardcore is a solid fat loss supplement, and I had some great results with it last summer, it's just expensive. Sounds like you got a better deal.

    Good luck getting the Lean Xtreme 2.0.. I'm still waiting for BB.com to ship mine and I ordered 2 weeks ago.. decided to start the log without it. :O

    And ketosis is the kind of diet I'm eating. 60% fat/35% protein/5% carbs. It's hella scary at first because you're eating a ton of fat and it's contrary to what all nutritionists tell you, but the logic makes a ton of sense once you get past the fear of fat. Ketostix are used to measure the ketone level in your urine. (Basically it means if you test positive, the diet is working). Check out Keto over in the nutrition section for more info.
