Red face Is it SAFE, to take my protein shakes in the morning, and then take one.....

I drink a 60 gram protein, whey-casien shake in the morning
Then I was wondering it is safe and recommended, to take one after my workout later in the day and also my 5 grams of monohydrate creatine.

    If no, why

If yes, should I just mix the creatine along with the protein all in one shake?
    Or what do you do?

I'd have the casein before you go to bed since it's a slow absorber.

As for after the workout, definitely have a whey shake.

With the creatine, I took 5g's preworkout then 5g's postworkout with gatorade.

60g is a bit much depending on your wieght. I would do 40 morning and 60 pwo. Throw the creatine in there, but not if you are leaving the shake made for >1 hour. Personally, I take creatine morning and pwo.

It's a mixed protein, it has whey and casein. I was just wondering it it's ok that I do two protein shakes a day, including my creatine after my workout

EDIT: and what's this about 60 grams being too much for my weight? I weigh 170....Shouldn't I be having 170 grams of protein a day?

I keep hearing that 50+ grams of proteins at once would be a waste, but what about weightgainers? Cytogainers have 50+ g of proteins in 1 serving if used with water but if you were to add milk to that, it would be nearly 70g of proteins per serving. Do all those proteins goes to waste?

IDK WTF, I'm just hearing about this......

I use milk with my protein shakes so it would go over 70g.......

Is it a waste or what??? Then why do they tell you you're supposed to get as much protein (g) as your body weight (lb)???

That's a DAILY recommendation, not a recommendation for one meal.

60 grams 6 times a day...360 grams a day at 170 pounds. I highly doubt you need over 2 grams per pound of LEAN body mass, much less total body weight.

you should be eating 4-6 small meals a day, not 3 big ones, first of all. divvy it up into 30-40 grams each and that comes to 200g/day pretty quick.

MORE THAN 50 GRAMS OF PROTEIN PER HOUR (SINGLE SERVING/SINGLE MEAL) GOES TO WASTE.

I've heard that many many times.

Whey PWO, casein for the night, but if its mixed then do 50 PWO and around 35 with milk later, as the milk already has casein protein in it for the night, so it should come out to 50.

Well... as a highschool student, It's kind of hard to fit in those 4-6 meals a day, when you have classes n such....

Thanks for that fact, I never knew more then 50 G'z a sit, goes to waste
I just hate to know where that waste ends up (as fat most likely... *mad face*)

Anyway, my protein is Whey isolate, so yes it is all PWO.
