Question on different types of soreness??

    Ok,
I know that different soreness is induced and different muscle groups are worked for each workout that you do (cardio included)...

I want to know why I feel sore the next day after playing football (flag) and basketball in my calves, legs, hips and even abs?
Is it different muscle fibers (Type 1 vs Type 2) or aerobic (bball, football) vs anerobic training (weights)?

I kinda get frustrated bc i play pick up bball on saturdays and football on sundays for two hours each and im so sore after that i cant get back to the gym till tues or wednesday night...

so im just wondering why i still get sore from playing bball and football every week? wouldnt my body be "used" to it by now?

every monday morning when i wake up i can hardly walk!...

Its harder for your body to get used to physical activity you do once per week. Also if you dont train any eccentric movements outside basketball and football, when you do them your body may not be used to it. Make sure you cooldown and stretch after playing as well.
