Yep, a Christian through and through. Looking on being as ripped as I possibly can be!
Bodybuilding is not weight and repetitions; it’s resistance and absolute muscle failure. It’s not quantitative; it’s qualitative. It’s more mental than physical. It’s more control than rage. It’s the realization that you can always get bigger. ~ bodybuilding

Prayers
Have a Merry Christmas all!!! Pray with me that I can focus on loosing fat and buidling muscle. I recently made some schedule changes which should allow for more dedication to working out consistency.
God Bless

Yes I am glad to see other people have something other in their life then bodybuilding.
I was almost lost my life to the sport I loved, but out of a curse came an incredible blessing from God which now I can help other people from my experience. I help people that Dr's just label as "depressed" by looking for the root cause of things.
God bless you and keep following in his path of righteousnessPlease keep in mind that this answer is for information purposes only,

I'm glad to see fellow Brother's & Sister's in Christ here on BB.com. I've been Saved since last January & just this week got into bodybuilding. I know not all of my motive's for bodybuilding are pure, such as self confidence, want to be more attractive to women & be physically able to do more. But, I also want to treat my body as best as possible as I know & feel that with all that God has done for me, it would be wrong of me to not treat the body He paid for right.
I'd love to hear back from you all just to fellowship, encourage & love on one another. I'm new as I said to bodybuilding so any help I can get would be greatly appreciated. I've been blessed this last week with a job & a gym membership & personal trainer, so I give thanks & Praise to God!
I'm on a limited budget so working nutrition and supplementation will be difficult for me but I'm sure there has to be low cost options for bulking & etc. Again, God Bless you all & I hope to hear from you & if you ever need Prayer, encouragement or anything, don't hesitate to ask. :-)

Amen, Once we're Saved by God's Grace & our soul is healthy by His shed blood I think the next best thing is our physical body. By treating our body as a Temple to The Holy Spirit we'll be able to do more for the Kingdom & setting an example for others. Plus, being in the gym & people coming to compliment our physiques and what not gives us the opportunity to witness to them. :-) Let's let the New life from within pour out, wash over us, radiate from us & onto others.
The LORD'S Blessing's upon you all. :-)

Well, it's much more rare for someone like a bodybuilder to get slapped around and spit on like Ray Comfort has gotten many times since people are more likely to be scared of a bodybuilder.
Ray Comfort: Repent, mate!
Random old lady: *slaps him* shut it!
Bodybuilder: Repent, bro
Random old lady: you're a nice young man!

Calborn, nice physique Brother, as is everyone else's I've seen on this thread. It's going good, fell into sin last night but by God's Grace I'm up & moving forward again. I've noticed that after going to the gym I feel awesome & just alive & on fire for God. Today was a good cardio day, I was able to get to my target heart rate sooner & stay at it longer then yesterday. :-)
Still learning & wanting to see some changes but I just have to be patient & learn to do thing's right. I posted this on another thread but will ask here also, do any of you have any beginner's work out routine's?. I need one as I see a trainer on a afford to pay him basis so I'm going to be doing alot on my own and don't want to not be doing what I should.
Also, what music do you listen to while at the gym? I've been listening to Michael W. Smith, Leeland & Hillsong but would like to listen to Skillet, Kutless & music of that nature but not sure if it's a sin to do that as it's not traditional worship & praise music.
To GOD Alone Be the Glory! :-)

@ Saved
Hey bro, much appreciated.
Keep fighting that sin bro, we're all with ya on that one. There may be pain in the night, but JOY comes in the morning.
For a good workout routine, check out Rippetoes http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=117429161
It should help get you started off on the right track.
As for music at the gym, I listen to a lot of Skillet and also secular rock like Disturbed, cause it gets me pumped. I doubt it's a sin to listen to secular tracks, as long as the messages in them aren't "bad."
I listen to the mp3 track of this video at the gym and put it on repeat as well.Mountains bow down and the seas will roar at the sound of Your name.
Jesus Christ saved my life. And that's nothing to be ashamed of, but it's everything to be proud and thankful of.

I will keep fighting till the very end because I'm not going to give up ever again, especially on this. I will check out that routine, thank you for posting it.
I think I need to figure out what music I want to play while I Work out, so I'm going to think on it more. I do like that youtube clip, where can I get the mp3 for it?.

Great to see some other Christians here on the board; "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:25.
Bodybuilding is a great way to spread the Good Word as well as practice a facet of discipline all Christians need. Add me as a friend on here to talk faith or hang. God Bless and Strengthen all of you!God

So cool to see other believers on the site! Just curious, anyone in the Milwaukee, WI area?
I'm not a bodybuilder per se at the moment, right now I'm WAY overweight and working on changing that, for a variety of reasons (click over to my profile if you're curious).
Slightly off-topic; does anyone know if there's a way to change your BodySpace username?
