Scivation Xtend Blueberry Lemonade

First off I would like to thank Scivation and NEBinAK for sending me out this product to try out. It has been a bit since I have had any Xtend, they didn't use to have so many flavors to choose from.

My first try I used half of the water recommended. It wasn't on purpose, I just wanted to try it, so I threw some water into a shaker. I also had just woke up and wanted some aminos to break my fast. This was a big mistake, as the lemon flavor made my eye tweak out from the sourness. The lemon also overpowered the blueberry and 10 minutes later upset my stomach.

Even at half the water, it mixed up perfectly.

Second dose: I used 14oz of water to 1 scoop. The excess water smoothed out the tartness a bit, but the lemon way over powers the blueberry. I do love lemon flavor, but this seemed more like straight lemon juice watered down.

The whole point of a review is to be honest, but as much as I wanted to like the taste, I wasn't a fan of the flavor, I just wasn't. I have no doubt about the quality as Scivation puts out very good products, they just missed the flavor on this one far as I am concerned.

I will always go with much more water than recommended with Aminos (and most pwos too). I’d try it in a 24oz shaker with a level scoop.

As Stad said I usually do 20 plus ounces of water in mine.

I don't plan on giving up on it. I will try more water the next time. I am always up for trying new flavors. Fruit punch was my favorite back in the day, but I am glad you guys offer so many more flavors to choose from.

Thank you for the review, taste is always so subjective I find it super interesting the differences between people’s experiences. At the end of the day that’s why we try to have a long list of options for people so they can try them all and see which ones are their personal favorites. We will have to get you one of the other flavors to try out here soon and see if that’s more to your liking!

Sorry I haven't. The last xtend I had was fruit punch in the old labeling. May have even been older than this.

Do you still use Xtend? What's your favorite flavor currently if you still do?

So as many products I receive to try out, I tend to share with a person or two. So I gave a scoop to one of the guys I am helping to mentor. Only thing I told him was it isn't that he will feel like an energizer etc. This is his response. I didn't tell him flavor, just asked for mix-ability, foam and just any general thoughts on it.

Had a berry taste that wasn’t unbearable, but had no distinct flavors pop out. Mixed up well with no clumps or foam. I would purchase this product. JF.
