    Hurt shoulder benching, need advice

I hurt my left shoulder the other day from trying to bench too much weight with a ****ty spotter. Now it hurts when I raise my left arm, throw a ball, etc. It doesn't really feel like a serious injury but I could be wrong. Anybody else have this problem? Should I just take a break from lifting for awhile or actually get it looked at?

i think it's ur rotor cuff. i had it too. while benching, i had to give up cos of the pain in my shoulders. but it's gone now. my advice, keep on going, but train smartly, don;t push urself overboard. learn to listen to ur body. train as normal, just don;t bench too much, or, it's better if u used the smith machine as ur bench. train ur shoulders properly, using the proper technique. u'll recover in no time.

yep.. i had the same problem. I trained delts, then the next day i trained chest with a mate. Now i know never to do this again.
Its the rotator cuff, mine took about 3weeks to heal. It wasnt too serious of an injury, it just needed rest.
