    Xtend plus BN BCAAS

    well, I got the 30 servings of xtend today but I also have a tub of BN BCAAs. the xtend is expensive but when I opened the bottle to smell the watermelon flavor, it was rather strong so my idea will be to get 2 scoops of xtend (which is one serving that has 7g of combined BCAAs) with 2 tablespoon of BN Bcaas ( 1 tablespoon of BCAAs is approximately 5.04g) so in all, I will be getting 17g of BCAAs pre cardio in which I'll burn 500 calories. Good plan?

    btw, what's the buzz about sesamin and BCAA consumption? I heard taking sesamin precardio along with BCAAs does not work well.

    Here's the thing though, I wake up, eat breakfast which is a protein shake and 2 bananas or a bowl of cereal (roughly in all 300 calories) then I'll wait some time for it to digest then hit the gym to train. After I train, I do cardio on some days. I train in the morning.

    So my plan i guess is to take the sesamin with my breakfast, then go ahead and train. Right before I jump on cardio, I'll drink the 17g of BCAA, or should I split it half and half as half before I jump on and half at the half way mark?

    Btw, is 17g of BCAAs too much?

    i do the same with scifit 100% bcaa, 4 scoops of Xtend with 2 sc0ops of scifit in about 2 litres of water, and start sipping 20 mins pre workout till iom done, then drink water.

    mixing the xtend with the bulk BCAAs is a good idea.if you cant mix them about qan hour before and let them sit in the fridge.it will help the BCAAs get absorbed by the water more.half before and half during also sounds like a good idea.

    from what i understand,the sesamin would be more beneficial if taken sometime other then around your workout , preferable taken a high fat meal.

    also i would suggest adding some bulk CM if you can afford it.
    anywhere from 2-4 grams.

    Definitely sip the BCAA's and the Xtend pre-cardio and during. Cardio puts you in somewhat of a catabolic state depending on the intensity of the cardio. You'll be able to preserve muscle this way. Adding CM to the mix also rocks.

    thanks bros. Some say half an hour before jumping on the threadmill and others say right before? I assume half an hour before and then stop at half way to sip the rest.

    is 17g too much for a 500calorie run split in two, meaning BCAA, 250caloies, BCAA then finish off the rest of the 250?

    Mixing xtend and BN BCAAs an hour before? I use BB.com's shaker bottle and if I shake it rigoriously, how long would it take to dissolve somewhat satisfitable?

    I do not think it is too much. I have dosed bcaa up to 10g pre, 15g durning, and 10g post.

    *opps, correction, its is 15 / 10 / 15, damn, I am mixing all my posts up tonight.*

    i dont think 17 is too much.i would drink it maybe 10 min before though,not half an hour, as the BCAAs will get in your system fast.
    like i suggested i would add some bulk CM , maybe 3gm or so.
    its not required to mix it an hour before , just a suggestion.

    16-24 g BCAA
    5-7.5g glutamine

    I like to use 2 scoops Xtend Preworkout/precardio to wash down my thermos and nootropics. About a half hour prior. Then 2 scoops during, sipped throughout. I train early in the morning without a meal, so I try to stay out of a catabolic state.

    Beer20, I am going to purchase xtend for the first time, Ive read some of the reviews looks like a good product. Its kind of expensive to just do xtend by itself since I weigh 190. I was thinking of mixing it with bulk BCAA's, how many times do you divide your doses?

    i would get bulk BCAAs and bulk CM to mix with it.
    i usually only drink about 1/3 before my workout,and the rest during.

    I know your label mentions 6 scoops for anybody over 180 is this really neccessary? And how exactly do you divide each dose in a day?

    let me rephrase what I said..

    BCAAs do a good job for cutting..
    EAAs include BCAAs, plus other important aminos... = more expensive = good for bulking

    We prefer mixing whey isolate with Xtend. I have never really seen a reason to take EAA over say, whey isolate.

    And you say BCAA are anti-catabolic and not anabolic? Isn't Leucine a BCAA? Isn't Leucine anabolic?

    yes yes.. i'm not arguing BCAA is ****.. I use it myself..

    It's just that if I find a EAA product that is similar in cost to BCAA, i'd use that one instead.. as a matter of fact, if there's a EAA Xtend watermelon flavor, i'd wait in line to buy that first
