Finally excited to show what my gym will become! Pictures of the current setup and the list of the soon to be new additions. Was getting to a point I was doing to much weight by myself (3 plate bench mainly) and the risk of getting hurt in that smith machine was too much. Honestly scared me out of lifting for a few months. Watched one to many videos of guys struggling to get out from under the weight. Cap weights honestly seem so cheap, but I weigh them out and right exactly what they weigh on the side. They are cheap and I can get more out of my money. Not looking for perfection... just gains.
Newest additions include (from EliteFTS)
* EliteFTS Swiss Press Bare
* EliteFTS Yoke bar (safety squat)
* 3" V-Ball Tricep Bar
* 48” High Quality Lat Bar w/Rubber Grip
* Leather Dip Belt
* Everything (minus the rower, waiting on PM5) on the list below
Small stuff will be in this week probably. The rack is 6-8 weeks out
Just in time to avoid the winter lull and hide in the basement!FIRST 3 PLATE BENCH - JANUARY 27, 2014

It's so addicting. Things I'll be adding in the future:
-Leg extension/leg curl machine
-hyperextension machine/roman chair
-rubber floors throughout
-more olympic plates
-upgrade lat machine to pin loaded
-get more standard 10lb plates and take the 600+ lbs of standard plates and order pro style dumbbells, get dumbbells from 105-150lbs in 5 pound increments
-this will of course mean I'll need another DB rack.
So little space too. :/ it's currently at work because I can't fit it in home, but one day after my fiancée gets done with school she's going to go for her personal training certificate and we will open our own gym.

Long time Coming
I have owed this to the builder for some time. Fantastic work from fellow BBer Mech6.
In the end its a 3x3 7g (Mech hates when I title it guage) with the front porch, front safeties, box safeties, rear storage, strap safeties, dogsled with two weight pins in the middle -high and low bar
and two sets of uprights, dumbbell trays, monkey bars, fat bar, not so fat bar and some other items I am sure to have missed!
Cannot say enough good things.▪[[────]]▪ York Barbell Club #65 ▪[[────]]▪

No kidding. Love that cage. Love the box safeties too. I usually work out with a partner so they aren't really necessary, but I still would like them. You're definitely cutting it close with that garage door light lol. And holy olympic plates! You're loaded! You need more room! Time to knock out a wall and expand to a three car garage, eh?

I'd love it. One day maybe. As for the plates, I picked some up I wasn't crazy about for a decent price. But then came along some Ivanko M series and urethane GP's and I simply couldn't pass up the price so I stocked up. I tell myself it's for some of the future machines!

looks awesome
you are lucky your ceiling is high enough, I had to cut my ml490 down to fit it in my basement, think the posts are 7'2" now.
I want the multi-grip bar, but won't fit to well unless I invert it like yours, so I will probably just wait till I get a new house. haha.

hello everyone, i guess i decided to post in here because i didnt want to make a new thread.
anyway i want to buy a bench for my basement but dont want to spend too much money. right now i have like ~160 pounds and a small bar that my uncle got me at sports authority years ago
i saw there are some pretty decent deals that give you a bench and like a hundred pounds weight on sports authority.
i thought this might be good because they appear to be the same as the weights w the small diameter that i already have. (non olympic ghetto version)
anyway, if anyone could recommend something that would be great. thanks for your time.destiny xbone misc crew

^^^^^^ Reading comprehension is low for this one. I am not sure what about a thread titled Pic's and discussion of your "Home Gym" makes him think this is the place to ask questions about what to buy.
Anyway, SwaggerM, you need to read the stickies, particularly ***READ THIS FIRST*** Official workout equipment FAQO─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

I knew from the start I was going to have to invert the multi-grip bar, but I really didn't want to alter the rack on the chance I get a place with taller ceilings.
Both bars on the rack are from EliteFTS. Love the Swiss bar, definitely has a bit of a learning/comfort curve. The safety squat bar I've of used once and it's definitely a shoulder saver. It's a bit unwieldy due to its size, so not fun to move in and out of the rack a bunch.FIRST 3 PLATE BENCH - JANUARY 27, 2014

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Thanks, It's in a storage facility. 15x30
lights and power receptacles with unlimited power usage.
24 hour access. 100 bucks a month. 14 minutes commute.
It all started with a sweet deal on one bench. Then the deals kept coming.
Then we moved into an apartment. Then the deals kept coming.
Now I'm in a holding pattern till I get a bigger place and open a gym or we buy a house with a basement.
Buying and upgrading gym equipment is like a sickness. Nothing I can do about it though, I've already caught it."I heard that broken Ivanko revolvers can cure cancer... too bad no ones managed to break one." ProtienandIron
