ive got a curl bar, but i dont see the need for a 5ft bar or a tricep bar, ive got some olympic db handles but there so long so they are kind of akward.
i want to add some stuff like a trap bar, and maybe a fat bar.
whats the difference between a trap bar and a shrug bar?

Well they say one is bigger than the other, but I heard it's the same principle..
What kind of fat bar are you thinking about getting? Like a 7 ft fat bar?
I am going to get a welder to make me a trap or shrug bar, I will research them a bit more first though lol...because it would cost me 250 bucks for a new one in Canada...lol...
Nothing wrong with a tricep bar, maybe not the best bang for your buck but it is good...
I was recommending db handles for farmers walks and shrugs...things like that really...then it wouldn't feel ackward, because it's not like benching with them...

Thanks I ordered the bench yesterday but the store is closed until the 09/04, so I have to wait.
It was cheaper than the Lamar and the Bodysolid that's why I choose this one.

Ok here is my new improved home gym. I got rid of my old stuff after realizing that I'd exceeded the max weight capacity for my bench, and after I had a scary experience with a half rack tipping forward during a squat.
New stuff is Nautilus. I got the power rack with lat/ low attachment. The FID bench, preacher curl, and leg machine attachments. The other pics are of my other equipment, power tower, leg press/hack squat, 2 weight trees and various other cable attachments.

Nothing yet lol....waiting for my friend to get back so he can give me my 500 bucks so I can actually order my bench...
here's what I am getting:
1.Lamar DFI LS513 bench (no leg ext/curl, no preacher)
2.Powerblock 5-90lb adjustable dumbbells (no stand)
3.5ft standard bar from walmart or something lol
4.Tubes for homemade wrist roller (1 smaller one and one big one, to work grip and forearm strength)
Also selling an old weider bench and all the plastic weights I have...except maybe for 2 25's and the 15's...they come in handy when doing rows and other exercises...

I use the leg curl along with SLDL to hit the hamstrings and I do preacher curls along with other exercises to hit the biceps, so the answer is YES I find them both very useful. Of course, everyones body does not respond to certain exercises the same so many will think these attachments are a waste of money, but not for me, so who gives a damn what other people may think!!!

Amen, they should just give you the damn attachments...
Exercises like lunges, sldls, squats, deads, reverse lunges, glute ham raises performed on a bench and place to put your feet, and so many other exercises are just as good...
But nothing wrong with leg curls and extensions, but there not the best exercises...really depends on the person

Joey,
Why are you not getting the PowerBlock stand? I love my stand and it makes using the PowerBlocks much easier. The stand holds the extra adder weights and places the PowerBlocks at an angle that makes changing the weight very fast. The stand also holds the PowerBlocks up off the floor so there is no bending over which could cause you to hurt your back if you failed to use good form when lifting them up. Lastly the stand keeps everything organized and neat, no tripping over your PowerBlocks and getting hurt.
