Nice set up. I do like that multi press as well. Can the bench move out of the way to do shrugs or standing presses or do you have to stradle it? I have the PowerTec leverage gym and the bench pivots out of the way. I can put the safety stop in the top position and face the machine and do standing military presses or push presses that way. It's become one of my fav shoulder exercises. Be careful of the leg press though, a few people on here have bought the older model and hated it. I've heard they redesigned it but haven't seen much feedback on it. If you have the room and like PowerTec equipment I've had they're compact leg sled and it's fairly nice. It's pretty easy to top out the weight limit though.

Not a "home gym," but a "private gym." This is at my place of employment. It's not fully stocked, and we lost the flat bench, an Olympic bar, and a few hundred pounds of plates when an employee was let go and took their stuff with them. Still have a pretty good selection of dumbbells, 600 lbs or so of plates, and various bars and cable attachments. I check craigslist when I can afford something to see what I can pick up and add to it. I'd still rather have a gym membership, but it's nice because it's free and it's right downstairs from my office.

Updated Pics
Been awhile since I visited the board. I've made quite a few changes to gym lately and thought I'd post (stole a lot of good ideas from this board, so just trying to pay it back).
Gym has evolved from primary home equipment of various quality in an unfinished basement, where I trained primarily, to mostly commercial stuff in a dedicated area, used by the entire family and a few friends.

Nice, Earl H. I actually remembered your gym from the before pictures, still no love for the leverage squat on your powertec ms I see; looks like you've frankensteined your current model. I thought your gym was awesome before, and it still looks pretty sweet; what's your approximate square footage in there?
I will eventually need to do some update pics of my space.

Re: Powertec leverage squat...no, not really a fan...very poor ergos and when loaded up(fully), just doesnt feel that stable. Plus removing/inserting pin after 20 and 30 rep sets are a pita. RE: Square footage...I'm guessing between 1,000-1100...its about 60% of 2100 sq. ft basement.
I really want a seated row machine, but havent figured out how to fit one in without making the room seem overcrowded. I have achieved my goal of having enough equipment to allow 2 or 3 people to do 2 or 3 exercise compound sets without tripping over each other at the same time...so a 300+ lb. seated row wouldbe icing on the cake.My Cave

Thanks. Without the help of this board, I would have never known that you could put together a home gym like this on a budget. There are only a handful of things that I purchased new. The truly cool thing is that it gives me a chance to train my 14yr old son, and now some of his friends, in proper lifting techniques. It's amazing to me how much questionable instruction he gets from school and with only 1 "strength coach", he cant watch all the freshman at the same time to ensure that the kids arent doing things that will injure them down the road.
I love the Cybex Press. It is my favorite machine, functionally. Its not as in good of shape as the rest of the commercial equipment (ebay seller misrepresented condition) that I have, but I think its the best leg press design wise on the market.

Hey earl, long time no see dude! I'm still loving the cybex squat press I bought after seeing yours a couple years ago, I really like that huge weight tree you have behind yours too, lol I need something like that. I walk to my rack to get all my plates still except a pair of 100s I bought that I just leave on it always.
Gyms still looking awesome as ever though man, you always made great use of space![]---[] Equipment Crew #30 []---[]

I've upgraded and added some equipment recently so I thought I would throw in an update w/ some equipment porn pictures. Bought the Bodymasters bench and ordered replacement pads from Fullcirclepadding.com (old pad shown and new pad is shown installed on the bench). Pads just came today and they look great! I ordered the blue replacement pads on the bench before I snagged the deal on the Hammer Strength equipment, so I lucked out that they match!!! I just got the Hammer Strength equipment a week ago and I love it!

Bodymaster B117 Flat/Incline Bench
Ironmaster dumbbells w/ 120lbs upgrade kit

Not everything on that page is accurate. I think some of the dimensions are suspect too.
But it's still a great resource for beginning your research when looking for a bench. I found the photos at the bottom very handy as there were certain benches I was able to exclude just by looking at the photos.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35

Nice looking setup. I love the Hampton deep dish plates. They're easy to grab off the plate tree and I think the bar looks better loaded with deep dish plates. Kind of old school like the pictures of Arnold training in the old Golds. I've used and really like the Hammer Strength iso leg extension. I've only used their seated leg curl, not the lying leg curl. It looks nice though.

It was roughly $150, plus $20 for shipping, so $170 total. They completely build the pads to your specs. They had some concerns/questions about the spacing of the holes on the pads because apparently Bodymasters was inconsistent. I exchanged several emails and phone calls w/ Brian to dial in the exact hole spacing, etc... Everything arrived exactly as ordered and very well packed. I would definitely recommend them.
Thanks for the comments guys...also forgot to mention I have a Rogue Bar.
