    brown rice cooked weight?

the label said 100g cooked - 29g carbs

is this the same as the weight of rice uncooked?

if it isn't, how many grams raw would i need to get to 100g cooked?

    hope this makes sense

    thanks, chris

Just do what I do and eat as much of it as possible. Then a tad more for good measure. Then a boiled egg to top it off. And a chicken for dessert

That is probably the uncooked, raw weight.

Measuring after is a crap shoot since the water weight will influence the weight.

when you cook it it gets bigger. on uncle ben's brown rice its 49g uncooked (dry). when cooked it becomes 1 cup cooked. so it gets bigger when cooked. hope that helps. just get uncle be's whole grain brown rice. its much better to understand.
