How many of you college people live dormatories or somthing very similar? Lets discuss that issue right off the bat as that alone can be a major obstacle for the 1-3 years you may spend in them while trying to adhere to good principles of a bodybuilding lifestyle.

Also lets get some idea of what we college types spend on groceries per week, this is money spent outside of dorm food which I assume is part of a meal plan or similar to that.
I myself drop 35 bucks a week on food since thats about all I can hall back on the bus by myself......yeah no car! Brother has it at his college since his work is a ways off. How nice am I!UNBA Men's Physique Athlete

I made a suggestion in the misc:

I see there's plenty of support for this idea. Great! Hopefully an administrator will see the benefits of this. The more mass you have, the more ass you get.

The more noise we make to admins about the demand for this thread all by itself the more they will have to consider it. So keeping bugging them, I have been!
Also, nothing against you other people in your 20's but we are looking to construct a thread that deal with the unique lifestyle conditions that you go through while in college. That is the foundation of this thread, college life and bodybuilding and the dynamics of the two.
No bad feelings but I am sure there are other threads here in the forum that cater to your needs.UNBA Men's Physique Athlete

College: UAH
Age: 26
Year: Graduate
Major: Aerospace Engineering
years of training: Just now getting back in to it, so only about a month right now
goals: Continue to get stronger and bulk up a little bit
I like the idea of the college forum, but I also think there should be a thread for guys in their 20s and early 30s.

For those that are talking about the age base aspect. Don't forget there are people in their 40's and older going to college now. Just turned 42, and going back for another degree. Also, I would like suggest some way of noting what degree a person is working on, what year they are in, or what degrees they already have. I think it would be good to know from what perspective the person has to who you are chatting with. Also, a lot of science crosses over, and it would possible give us more insight to our own degrees. Say, Chemistry, Physics, Math (statistics), Biology, Kinesiology, Nursing, M.D., and more can all cross over at some point. Then for those of you who may need some help or advice on a class/subject that form may be a great resource to help you in how to look at a problem, test better for that subject, paper suggestions and what nots. As far as for us older guys, yes we may not be going through what you are, but chances are we have already been through that hump and find much more effective ways to get through it. After all, there is a lot to be said about experience.

I agree with the overarching forum of college students (all ages included) that deals with majors and areas of study so that we can use it as a resource with other members in the same discaplines or those going for the same degrees. Maybe it would even allow some to find what degree they want and where to pursue it at? Kind of a professional to professional network type gig alongside are brother/sisterhood of bodybuilding and fitness. We just need to get some formal approval from the moderators to see this through now???

PS....Do any of you have colleges or campuses with formaly recognized clubs or orgs that are dedicated for sports like fitness, powerlifting, bodybuilding, weightlifting? We here have the WPBC which is a 5 year old club this year which I am the president of. It stands for weightlifting, powerlifting, bodybuilding club. We are 3 branches united under one heading. We have 30 members now and give students training guideance, state and regional opprotunity to compete for reduced prices, we travel as a group to local meets and events, help eachother with diets and training etc. We even have t shirts and what not for all new members. I wanted to know if other schools have somthing similar?

exactly. I get on here less because i am getting too old for the teen section and i don't want to have to read posts from a bunch of people in highschool. It would be nice if there was a misc section to go along with it (pretty much exactly the same set up that "teen bodybuilding" has but with a different age bracket)
edit: a junior in college can't exactly relate to a junior in highschool..."Moderation in discipline is failure"
*all pics and stats are at least 3 years old...just ignore them
