whassup, edward! good to have you!
I propose we just make weigh in once a week, weigh in whenever you want, and report it here on Mondays? That should work for everyone. I think we should all report it at the same time, and not everyone posts as much on the weekend, and I don't often get to the gym to weigh in on weekends. Waiting two days will help carl build up some drama before revealing each weigh in, and i know he'll love that.08/20/09: 249 lbs.

Oh my god!!! You know me so well!!!
==========================
Workout
Today was chest/triceps. It was a good workout but disapointed that my strenght is going down! Definitely going to work on that in the upcoming weeks.
Rehab
Yep...I am going into rehab. Not for drugs now... for food! I was challenge by my cousin to go 30 days or a bit over (up to February 1rst) without any fatty food, fast food or fried food. I am only allowed fruit, veggies, fish and meat. If I cheat..I pay up $500.00 Seeing that I love money more than food...I guess that was a sure way for him to guarantee I stick to it.
Cardio
Cardio will be done in the afternoon. So will post that later on.
Easier to gain weight than to lose it or vice versa
My cousin which is also my workout partner had this been discussion with me in the car. The guy is 175 lbs, 5ft 9, and about 8-9% body fat. Nice 6 packs, definition, chest , etc. I would kill to have his body. Problem...he has ben trying to get to 200 lbs in the past 2 year but never went over 185. Every time he falls off the wagon, stop eating as much, etc (He is married with 1 child, wife goes to school fulltime, so kinda explain it). I envy his body but not his life...and I thought my life was hectic.
So, he was telling me that it is easier to lose weight than to gain. I told him it was garbage and the opposite is true. We fight for over 20 minutes (till I drop him home) and finally agree to disagree. He believes it will be easier for me to get to 200 than for him!
This guys only has to gain a lousy 25 lbs...me I have to lose over 125 lbs...So tell me...for whom will it be easier
I gained more than 20 lbs in 3-4 months period!

I did really good on my cravings last nite, but I did wake up at like 4:30am and eat a handful of cashews and 2 slices of cheese. That is another of my problems, middle of nite eating.

here is my take on what this thread is about, but it is fred's deal so do what he says:
post an intro, where you are coming from, where you are going, waist size, weight and body fat, and then post the weekly updates, what you are doing and what is working for you and what is not, what you neeed help with, and and what you can help others with. we are tracking our progress and motivating each other, and learning from one another.08/20/09: 249 lbs.

HEIGHT: 5'8"
WEIGHT: 269
WAIST: 40 (size pants)
My goal is to get down to 169 pounds and be completely ripped.
ABOUT ME:
I'm 22 years old and work construction with my father. I have both gained and lost weight throughout the years(as you guys already know)..
I'm working on a contest and have a mini competition with Carl(cawiau)
I'm recovering from acl reconstruction knee surgery and plan on joining a gym and do circuit training along with some light cardio.
Once I lose the weight, I'm going to expand my father's business and work on a corporation I started with my friends. We are doing real estate and are trying to make some money with that.
I also plan on going back to school to become a personal trainer(eventually) on the side..
I have many plans and I can't wait to get the ball rolling!
btw, my bodyfat % is around 30 and I want to be around 14 % within a year.
I love this website and look forward to changing my life for the better.
thanks for reading.
TBF, need more info, just let me know!take the good with the bad.
