Presa Canarios are used for dog fighting and are very similar to an enlarged pit bull. I would think it would have a better chance of fighting a wild predator due to it's more similar size.

According to various google searches, that isn't true. Here's a good page I just found.
http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Anima...ion118659.html
Pitbull pressure bite was 238 lbs
German Shepherd bite was 240 lbs
Wild Dogs bite force was 317 lbs
Rottweiler bite force was 328 lbs
Lion bite force was very close to 700 lbs
Hyena's bite force was 1000 lbs
Snaping Turtle bite force was 1004 lbs
Nile Crocodile bite force was 2500 lbs
A human can bite to a maximum force of about 170 lbs and it is estimated that the T-Rex could have had a bite force of around 3300 lbs !
There's more credible sources, just not one that lumps them all together nicely, like this one does. I haven't found any mammal that's higher than it yet, though. Still looking for info on the hippo.
Siberian Tiger ~1200 lbs

Yeah. I'm not an expert or anything, but common sense says the pitbull dosnt have a chance. I mean, give me a break. A domestic dog versus an animal that has to kill its food every day? Despite their reputation as scavengers something like 80% of a hyenas food is killed by their pack if I remember right.

A tiger would eat a ****ing lion.
And don't forget about the ligers. Ligers get to be like 800lbs or some crazy ****.
I think the pitbull might kill the hyena if it was one on one. More than one pitbull versus the hyena, no contest whatsoever. Dogs instinctively fight in together. Dogs always go for the throat and have no fear. Look at how long that neck is on the hyena, its just asking to be laid into.

wow...strong lack of knowledge by some people...
Male Tiger > Male Lion
Male Lion > Female Lion
Female Lion > Hyena
Hyena > Any dog
Hyena is a wild animal...its in the genetic code to hunt and kill...they are stonger...have stronger bites...and have shown to hold their own against lions...they lose..but hold their own
this fight would last about 2 minutes tops
