    How to stop pms munchies?

Every month when pms hits, I get the munchies that I have a hard time controlling. I can't afford appetite suppressant pills, so I was wondering what foods, spice, etc. act as appetite suppressants. Also, does anyone know other tricks for curbing pms munchies? Thanks!

Judging from that fact that you track your food using myfitnesspal, you seem like you have a good amount of dedication. When you feel like having those munchies just remember your goals and try to mentally force yourself to stop. Mental strength is a huge part of this journey.

The thread name totally made me laugh... Sorrs...

There's NOTHING wrong with munchies. You just need to find healthier options for those munchies. When I'm craving chocolate (totes crave this during aunt flow's visits)- I'll make a chocolate Whey protein shake with bananas and milk: fits my macros and I don't feel guilty or wake up hating myself the next day.

Anytime I crave something fatty, I'll make some eggs and lean turkey... Once again, fits my macros and totally awesome for protein. Still don't feel guilty.

Sweets? I chow down on a frozen berry blend/spinach smoothie. There's so many ways to eat healthy and get you munchies taken care of, without bloat or any guilt.

You can easily work a few daily treats of your choice into your numbers. If there's a specific time of the day you tend to get more cravings, save more of your calories for that time of the day.

There really isn't any magic tricks. If you're trying to get results you need to keep things under control. PMS, bad days, etc...most of us just have to suck it up.

I get that too. Some months are worse than others, but worst case scenario only lasts 1-2 days for me.
I just budget an extra few hundred calories for that time, and I have more of what I crave. Even on a diet, it doesn't stress me if I go off diet for a couple days - in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make a huge difference. If it's thousands of calories or something extreme though, much of it simply comes down to willpower - knowing it's temporary and will pass helps.

I can't remember where I read it but that your metabolism actually increases during this time. So since that I just sort of go with it. When I started lifting and eating more I don't get so cravey anyway- still when normally I don't like chocolate there's one day a month it seems like the best thing ever. So its definitely a thing.

You could try a fat burner with an appetite suppressant, those tend to help me when my cravings are out of control

Does BuffMother have a plan that dedicated all around your period called "hormonal timing" I did this when she first started it and I was lean 11% Body fat (don't judge me now I'm working on it) but you burn up to 500 calories more around the beginning of your period and during. I think that plan was that you either do more cardio around this time?
