I bought a tub of six-star a few months ago and it was the worst whey i have ever had......it tasted horrible after the first few shakes and it was relatively clumpy. Yet on the other hand, today i tried body fortress and it was very good. I will probably buy 5lbs of this stuff next.

Body Fortress White specks
I just bought the chocolate Body Fortress Whey. When I opened it I saw white specs in it. I sent them an email and this is the response I got:
Thank you for contacting Body Fortress through our website. We appreciate your interest in our products.
Body Fortress Whey Protein has recently been reformulated to include glutamine. The specks that you are seeing is from the glutamine and creatine ingredients.
Thank you again for contacting Body Fortress. If you have any further questions, our Product Information Specialists can be reached toll-free at 1-800-215-5980, Monday through Friday, 9am-5:30pm EST. We look forward to serving you in the future.

I don't know why people complain about the inclusion of creatine and or glutamine. Both are essential in creating an 'anabolic' state within your body after a workout. They also work well with protein to maximize results. As for the taste I go by the old Jack Lalanne quote, "If it tastes good don't eat it." It really shouldn't taste like the best thing ever and plus the taste is never to the point of nauseating for me.

I've been using Body Fortress 100% whey for almost a year and I have no complaints. Nothing can compare to the price and the formula is up there with the best of them and it contains some extras (creatine, glutamine) at about $30 for 5 lbs! Also, it mixes very well not only with water/milk but if you're trying to make protein pudding, pancakes, smoothies, oatmeal, etc. it practically dissapears in seconds. If I were to give it a grade I would say about a 7.5/10. Hope this helps anyone who's interested.

Body Fortress Protein with Creatine
Body Fortress told me each serving of their "improved" whey protein has 6 grams of creatine. I used 4 scoops a day of their old protein, but since I don't want 24 grams a day of creatine (I take 5 grams on a workout day), I'm switching brands. BF Whey powder was never great tasting, but I didn't mind it. This new stuff is almost undrinkable. The creatine makes it bitter, and if you tasted it without being told its flavor, trust me, "chocolate" is NOT what would come to mind.

What's up guys? I'm new to this forum here and I just wanted to know if this Body Fortress 100% Whey Protein stuff helps aid in weight loss? I looked up whey protein online and I read that it does but does the Body Fortress one help aid in weight loss? I'm looking to lose fat and gain muscle. I'm a 5'10 200lb guy and I'd like to be more leaner and fit 190 to 195lb guy. If anyone can share their workouts, that would be great. Thanx in advance and I hope everyone gets to their target weights.

No problem with it at all
I just started weight training about two months ago. Long-time endurance athlete (running & biking), but never weight trained until now. I'm 42, so supplements were a big consideration for me and I did a LOT of research before buying anything. Doing what I'm doing, I have seen pretty good muscle gain, but I haven't cut much off my fat. I'm slowly adding back in more cardio, so I'm hoping that will help.
I love the Body Fortress 100% Whey Protein. BTW - I have seen two different bottles of this stuff on shelves. One says it has 46g of protein in two scoops, the other says 52g. I buy the 52g in Vanilla and I really like it. Apparently, I'm not as picky as many people in this forum, because it really doesn't bother me if the shake isn't completely dissolved when I drink it (although I think this stuff mixes pretty well). It only takes me about 10 seconds to down a drink and after eating Army crap for years, I don't have a gripe with the flavor.
I have a a little concern with just noticing the added Creatine, Taurine & stuff. I don't want to overdo anything and defeat my own purpose. Could someone critique my routine here and let me know if I'm on the right track?
Here's what I drink:
Pre-workout:
5 ounces water
5 ounces grape juice (for insulin kick)
1/2 scoop American Stamina (amazing mix, if you haven't checked it out)
1/3 scoop Body Fortress 100% Whey Protein
Post workout:
8 ounces water
6 ounces grape juice
1/2 scoop American Stamina
2 scoops Body Fortress 100% Whey Protein
I also try to eat some good carbs after I drink my post-workout shake.
Other than that, I'm trying to eat 6 smaller meals with high protein, low everything else.
How am I doing, guys?

I would say not to worry about the glutamine/creatine in the protein, if you're only taking 2 and 1/3 servings a day of BF its definitely not going to hurt you.
I use this stuff sometimes and blend it with milk, 1/2 cup mixed berries, sometimes 1/2 cup of low fat ice cream or yogurt and have never noticed a bad taste or clumpiness and it actually tastes very good. But I can't speak for mixing it with just water in a shaker or stirred.

I like the creatine it it, i called and they said it had 6g per scoop and 1 gram l-glutamine. The taste is kinda nasty. its ok though jus not the best. i mix it with penaut butter or milk to improve. Great product though when looking for lower prices!

Just an update on Body Fortress Whey. I was just at Wal-Mart picking up my food for the week and they now have Strawberry added to their line of flavors. It's not the best tasting strawberry flavor but it's nice to change things up after about 2 years of straight chocolate and vanilla. Also, the formula is improved with 9 grams of Recovery Complex which includes some goodies like creatine monohydrate, luecine, L-glutamine, taurine, etc. per scoop. In my opinion it's a solid whey supplement for an unbeatable price!

What confuses me if how some people are like "Oh, i only use this as a replacement for ON".
What makes this whey not a permanant whey? This definitely is a solid product, it contains 52 g of protein per 2 scoops, and essential goodies like added aminos, creatine, glutamine. It doesn't break the bank, its a very solid formula, and the brand is reputatble (it is distributed by the guys from Met-Rx Enough Said.)
ON is more expensive, and doesn't have these extra things.
Why is On so much better than BF?

First time poster...just picked up a big jug of this Whey at WalMart and was thrilled at the price. I'm not , and cannot , pay heavy prices for supplements.
At 52 , I can still make some gains but I'm not looking at the impossible. Reasonably priced products are my ticket.
This stuff tastes great! Like Quick chocolate milk!

Don't you just love when people see an ingredient like that and they assume it's going to give them AIDS or something? I once told a friend of mine that I had taken a NO product and he legitimately tried to convince me that Nitric Oxide causes cancer. *sigh*
I've never been partial to the BF whey, always made me gag But now that I'm hearing about this new formulation and a strawberry flavor, I might give it another shot. The WMSS near me puts it on sale for $7.88 every few weeks, and I can't really argue with thatHOLD UP BRO
I'm still curling in that squat rack.
