It appears to me that 1 pound of turkey or chicken breast has about 480 calories? This is GREAT...I actually thought it was about 750 lbs.

I am talking about the Boars Head brand...

Boars head ehh, are we talking about cold cuts?!

I kind of stay clear away from these because they are so high in sodium... Did you see the sodium content?

    Thanks for the defense.

I just got back into the routine again after about a 17 month layoff.

I'm just eager to learn and this is the BEST place by far to learn about workouts and diets.

Sodium cause bloating, retaining water weight man.

My opinion... buy a big butterball turkey and cook that 'bish' and portionsize it for an entire week.

    Positives:
    Good 2 meals a day
    Great source of protein
    Cheap way for both!

Hey, Don't be too afraid of Cold cuts! There are some healthier products out there. I don't know what grocery stores are near you, but check your deli for Dietz and Watson. They make salt-free turkey! Also if you are interested in ground turkey, make sure it's breast meat. Jennie O makes 99% lean ground turkey. It's practically tasteless, so use it in dishes like chili to give it lots of flavor!
