Oww first time doing deadlifts ;(

So It was my first time doing my dead lifts
    I did 135 10times
And saw it was super easy

So I upped the weight to 185
    Did it another 10 times
saw it was easy once again

    Upped the wait to 205
Did it 8 times , saw it getting a little harder
    and started getting tired

    Upped it to 225
    Did it 5x
Saw my body slowly get tired but I got 225 pretty good I'd say, clean and nice form

    Upped it to 275
I lifted it off the thing since my friend said to put it on the ground
Tried to lift it, felt my back to break so i dropped it.
Waited 1 minute, went all out on it and got it clean, veins popping out everywhere

It was a great time, I love doing deadlifts even for the first time, I'm going to work them into my back work outs now

good move. they are an awesome exercise. just don't get an ego next time and try to lift too much too quickly or you'll stuff your back.

Yes you bend your knees when you deadlift.

How do you kids get through school without being able to spell basic words?

you are a dumbass for maxing your first time out. i bet your form is atrocious. why did you use so many reps in the beginning, deadlifts are better meant for less reps

Nothing gets the blood pumping like a good old primitive big fat heavy weight lift.

Most people would be surprised with just how much weight they actually can lift for the deadlift

You guys remember that big guy with the funny chin hair who was a powerlifter but made the olymic lifting team for the last olympics? He trained the O-lifts with a broomstick for 1 month, then he trained with an empty bar for the next month of learning his new lifts, then he gradually upped the weights. Moral of the story, some of the best guys in the world lift nothing but a broomstick when they are learning a new lift, you should at least spend some time with an empty bar first. REGUARDLESS OF 'GOOD GENETICS.' Just my two cents.

Yeah of course man I'm jus saying that "good genetics" whatever since I seen skinny guys who can't gain mass so I consider most guys who can gain mass good genetics? I'm not trying to make me seem amazing or anything of sort cuz I'm far from that :P

I just don't want you to get hurt. Train the lift, then strengthen the lift. Rule of thumb is to hold back when you start a new lift, even when you know you can lift more. (I think it's great if you have good genetics, nothing wrong with you recognizing it either.) Just be careful that you don't end up an injured guy with good genetics.

I'm sure you got the point from all the other posts that said the same thing, I just repeated it cause it's good advice.

cor man can't wait for tonights workout - 1st time deadlifting. I respond well to everything else so a few compound excercises should really push me up (well, hopefully ).
from what I've heard though mate what you lifted was pretty damn good.
