liquid supplements vs. non liquid supplements?

Hi guys i was just wondering if anyone knew if there was any advantages of a liquid supplement over a non-liquid supplement. I tryed to search but couldnt find the answer. If there is a thread on this topic could u please post it! If not can you just provide with some help on which is better, ie...which is better absorbed by the body. Thanks for the help.

    Liquid supplements

On page 1542 of the Physicians Desk Reference(considered to be the "medical Bible"), it shows that vitamins and minerals in pill form are only 10% to 20% absorbed by the body. Even those pills listed as "all natural" often have added fillers and coatings that inhibit absorption. Liquids are highly absorbable, convenient, and alot of people hate taking pills.

    ""Recalls from Pramauceutical technology lessons""
    Advantages of liquid(syrups,tinctures) forms:
-More easily taken by patients who refuse to take pills
    -No danger of choking
-Can add things like flavourings, colourings, scents, that make taking the drug more easy
-No worries about if the tab will stay in the GI tract enough to dissolve
    -Easily adjustable dosage
-High sugar syrupes and tinctures are bactiriostatic
    -Faster(but not always greater) absorption

    Disadvantages:
-Many drugs degrade when dissolved,at various rates
-To avoid that many syrups come in powder and you add water to create a solution. However there is the danger of bacterial infection in that.
-Vitamins in a solution WILL degrade. Various vitamins speed up the degration of other vitamins. That was about 2 painful pages to read, the end point was that vitamins in a solution sucked.
-If the amount of sugar/alcohol changes, the solution can be a good place for bacterias to grow.
-The above could be avoided by adding conservatives of course, but this has it's own disadvantages
-Solutions are bulkier, difficult to carry, have the danger of leaking, need a spoon to take them and are usually more expensive.
-Some substances that have a low absorption rate at the G.I tract might be less absorbed when in a solution, since they will reach the large intestine faster

That's what comes in memory anyway
