A mixture of minoxidil, propecia etc are injected into the scalp through gunshot, the procedure is not painful, however, few shots do sting.
I have my 6th session on Monday.

I've been using 5 % Minoxidil along with Finsteride (1mg) for last 10 days, seen significant improvement in density of Hair.

I also use DHT Salon defense(shampoo + conditioner) by Min New York which has also helped a lot.

Nutrition and Stress levels also have a significant impact on Hair thinning/Thinning.
By the looks of it you have a pretty full head of hair already....

What about using a 99.7% Pure Aloe liquid?

The Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice provides an abundance of nutrients and components not found in many other liquid aloe products - according to the website!

this is bogus. only 2 methods that are scientifically proven to aid in androgenic alopecia are

    1. minodoxil (can actually regrow hair)
    2. finasteride (lowers dht levels which attach to the hair follicle and cause it to die and fall out, hence its preventive - doesnt regrow)

nizoral is also highly considered with the above 2 (they call it "the big 3 for hair loss), basically aids at removing dht build up on the scalp

im gonna speculate that this guy had some sort of non-androgenic alopecia and aloe had some sort of soothing affect, then again, maybe the aloe did nothing

could be but worth a try couldnt hurt.

well what I read is he put the aloe over night and aloe helps open the pore or helps absorbtion, then he showered in the morning with Nizoral left that on the scalp for 5 to 10 minutes and the nizoral helps against dht so it was absorbed better.

Maybe thats what happen? who knows but his hairloss is not diffused it is Mpb .

Maybe he was secretly taking dut, minox or fin, even though he said he stop taking them because he saw no results.

Could it possibly be that it's making it seem like it grew back, due to a severe increase in volume of the hair strand?

lol severe increase in thickness? that means those thinning hairs grew back thicker that means a positive thing, that usually means its working.

No no, let me clarify what I was saying. Instead of growing hair back, the hair strands that you already have becomes "fatter" per say. Therefore giving the appearance of more/thicker hair.

im gonna speculate that this guy had some sort of non-androgenic alopecia and aloe had some sort of soothing affect, then again, maybe the aloe did nothing
This is a very narrow minded view. While androgens are primarily responsible for adrogenic alopecia in males, this is believed to be because of the inflammatory conditions they exert on the hair follicle. Transplant patients who are given meds to disrupt their immune system to reduce the chance of organ rejection regrow massive amounts of hair on their head because the immune system doesn't recognize the inflamed areas of the scalp as a foreign body. Clearly the issue is more complicated than just horomonal presence.

Keep in mind that micro scarring is also an issue for those trying to regrow hair. At the very least it would be worth a shot for someone who is desperate to regrow or slow/halt hair loss.

Well, you can't patent the aloe vera plant so not many drug companies are going to waste time money and resources on something they can't patent. If a scientific study proved that rubbing a plant you can grow in your backyard regrew your hair, there would be no market for minodoxil and finasteride

Well, we don't know what's really helping him, the plant, ketoconazole or both.
Do you remember what website that was from?

I didn't have a chance to read the thread but an amount of B12 (< 1% concentration) was shown suppress the same potassium channel inhibitor [tolbutamide] as minoxidil, it provides a little over half of the effect of minoxidil. Aloe contains B12, but I just buy cyanocobalamin (B12) powder and use a water/ethanol vehicle. I'd attribute his growth moreso to nizoral which was shown (in a popular study) to be just as effective as minoxidil for maintenance. But using both in conjuction would yield better results. I probably will not see this thread again, so good luck.
I feel so speshul when you give me positive reputation points. It motivates me to be the best that I can be! Hmm.. what's the world coming to.

if someone lost that much hair they are pretty much already considered bald and chances of them getting all of their hair back is slim...

in the after pics you can see that his hair is patchy and still doesnt look good.. pretty much still bald..

i think ppl should try different preventative mearsures or regimens in the early stages because ppl that have lost that much are pretty much too far gone.

@21 years of age, I have thinning and a slight receeding hair line. Hard to just type, really, cause it sucks. I have gotten over it emotionally a while ago (used to be a big thing for me? idk).

    So here's my Q:

Should I try to re-grow my hair (will this force me to use a product for the rest of my life until I let it all fall out?)

    or

Should I try to prevent my hair from falling out?

    or

    Both.
