    Lots of helpful info

    Hi, I am as new as new gets. Funny I remember having muscular arms and legs at 14-15. I have always had that kind of body even as an adult. When I joined a gym a few months ago is when I started finding out about supplements, the importance of protein, eating healthy and so on. I like all the new things I have learned and all the new info I have acquired. Hopefully this will help me push myself even harder. Thanks.

    wow ... maybe, aside from developing their bodies, some of these guys should really focus on developing their manners, intellect, self-security, and grammar. Thanks for grabbing those posts, haha.

    Also, too bad the lesbian post is closed. I wanted to say that women have been so associated with cardio (yucki remnant from the skinny-fat 80's) so now that we show up in thrones in the weight room, some guys get scared (along with the shift of the role of women outside the gym, it's understandable that some men have a hard time adjusting.)

    Hi everyone. I'm a noob here. I'm trying to get back into my former shape and surpass it. Mainly, I'm trying to get my body fat down and build muscle in my upper body (arms, sholders, chest, back and abs) I'm not looking to ignore my legs, it's just they are very muscular and don't need much to maintain them.

    I've been checking out the site and there are so many amazing women (and men) here that one can't help but feel inspired. Thanks to all of you who post your pictures, your stories, routines, workout schedules, and diets.

    Thanks for the great info. I have been doing it right.. woohoo..

    Frustrating cuz it does not happen as quickly as putting the weight/fat on. But slow and steady wins the race or so they say. I am currently doing 4 days in the gym (3 with weights/cardio and 1 cardio) Next week I am going to change to 5 days with 3 with weights/cardio and 2 cardio. I was doing bike and elyps for cardio but switched this week to elyps and crosstrainer as I could not keep my heart rate up on the bike for a full 35 min.. took me a good 15-20 to get it where it needed to be. CROSSTRAINER kicked my rear.. I was on level 1 and could only do 15min before I hit a wall and could not go anymore.. I was sweating like I had done my 40 on the elyps and my legs and butt burned.. So, yes the cross trainer won this round but I will be back on it on Tues and we will see who wins..

    My one area that I am struggling with is the Nutritional part. I am prediabetic so I currently take meds altho' now that I am working out I am hoping to get off them in the future. I know I need to eat at least 6 times a day but with work and all it is hard to get those in during the day. Sometimes it is hard to just get them packed to take with me let alone actually find time to eat them..

    I am 53 and have yo-yo dieted since I was about 11. Needless to say, I am very fat even when I am not 60 pounds over weight. Even my calves and knees still have cellulite when I lose weight. My 80 plus year old parents legs look younger than mine. My husband and I started a 6 day weight training and cardio program 11 weeks ago. I have only lost 13 pounds and am going to stop most carbs(as of yesterday). My question is will the fat in my legs ever go away at this late in the game or have I ruined my body?

    Yes, you can lose the fat. You do not need to stop "most" carbs. I'd suggest keeping at least 150 g carbs in your diet.

    I also suggest reading my website, www.hotnfit.com in the fat loss sections. 13 lbs lost in 11 weeks is great. Give it time. Doing it the right way takes time.

    I promise the fat on your legs will come off in time.
