    Salt Alternatives?

Anyone have any good salt alternatives? I love to sprinkle some salt on my vegges, but I know that my sodium intake is high. I've got some I can' believe it's not butter spray that is 0 calories and 0 sodium. So I might just use that for some flavor when I don't want to us salt.

Any other ideas would be great.

If you don't have high blood pressure, don't worry about it.

But I do believe they make a reduced sodium salt :\ I saw it once and was like wtf?

I just sometimes feel like I have had a salt overload. I'll feel dehydrated and I just feel like I'm being told that it is because of the salt. Just a feeling.

Mrs. dash seasonings are awesome. If your going to stick to salt, i hear sea salt is suppose to be better.

i get iodine and potassium fortified salt (to control my electrolyte balance, its 66% potassium). i don't know how it tastes in food though, but it's nasty as hell to drink up dissolved in water.

the OP dosn't make sense. what's the nutritional point in eating cooked veggies? The enzymes are gone after boiling and that is what you have veggies for in the first place. Raw veggies taste fine without salt.

If your going to use salt, get Himalayan salt as that is the only genuinely unprocessed salt available and has many minerals and over 120 trace minerals.

I sometimes use No Salt. Instead of sodium it's potassium and works about the same. Helps me in my attempt to keep a 1:1 ratio for sodium and potassium.

Where do you get "No Salt?" Is that a Safeway type item or health food store? I'd like to increase my potassium intake a little.

lol @ d3v cameo himalayan salt and power burst from the spinach

watch out...it might be leeching ur bonezzz

then you can trek to the himalayas for more salt to balance it out though, while up there, the air is so pure you can become a breatharian for 3 weeks time and invest that money in some bee pollen once you return.
