I take 4 to 5 usually, 2 in the morning, 1 before gym, 2 after gym.
When I dont work out 2 in the morning and 2 at some point during the day if I didnt each enough. Its getting expensive though.

1 in the morning; 1 post-w/o if it's a cardio day, 2 if it's a lifting day; and 1 w/ oats & PB before bed
