Most likely the shoulder that is clicking will have the scapula that is higher. Stretching the upper trap over a period of time will correct this problem. Unfortunately there is many problems that you can have with your shoulder and if there is pain you should be checked out by a professional. i myself had this problem with clicking and no pain and my right scapula was about an inch higher then the left. with stretching upper trap the clicking is gone.
I think you hit the nail on the head bro. I have the same problem with my shoulder clicking and my upper traps are very tight. What I noticed what worked the best was functional exercises 4x a week. Cleans, snatches, push press and even stone lifting helped. This advice helped me a lot. Thanks bro

    shoulder click

I had "spotter failure" over seven months ago doing heavy db flat bench. Finished workout iced when I came home.thought I might of strained something but nothing major.following week I do chest I kick the db up on incline press and my left makes a nasty rolling crunching sound like I've never heard before.so of course like an idiot I keep working out...dumb I know. But it wasn't that bad until I got to flat fb flyes and I couldn't even do them.then I knew I messes myself up.I laid off three months still pain.I go to doc he takes xray says its strained/sprained rc. Then its pt for 8 wks to no avail.so we get the mri which shows no tears BUT I have arthritis and wear in my ac joint "from heavy bench" doc says "find a new hobby" im devastated.its been almost 8 months im still doing pt exercises and im still getting a click from the back of my shoulder every time I move it in a incline bench angle move.not really painful but it bothers me.I've tried light bench and its a lil painful deep in the rep upfront of the shoulder.pushups I can do.ima give it a couple more months then ima get a second opinion. I've heard ac separations and similar injuries can take over a yr so..

Weird, I get the same thing as well and only in my left shoulder. Never thought much of it because of no pain, seems like some pretty good ideas from others in here. Cheers.

What do you do to fix it and should you keep working out while its there ?

I actually had this problem for a while and found out it was caused by "bench press syndrome" - by overworking the chest via bench press and under working the rotator cuff. I was able to recover quickly after doing a lot of rotator cuff exercises and the click went away. However, if that is your picture, it looks like the rotator cuff issue may not be the cause for you.
While you found that out and worked the rotator cuff were you bench pressing or doing anything while doing that ? What do you do ? ******** me on Matthew dale , my photo is me with a hat on in the mirror with a white singlet...

Sorry for the bump but this thread is bang on.
OP did you ever overcome this problem?

I've got the exact same problem apart from my side raises are really uncomfortable, not painful though.
