ive just started ZMA. actually, i just popped my first dose. The bottle says, Strength Fuel w/ZMA (twinlab of course). i also popped a melatonin. i work nights and melatonin helps me get to sleep. sometimes, not often, i have to go back to work 8 hrs after i get off so i resort to something stronger like nytol. do you guys think either of these will adversely affect the benefits of ZMA? yes, i keep calcium intake at least an hr. from my ZMA intake.
thanks

look in the ingredients of both products, if calcium is there, it will be a slight problem. I have only found one melatonin product that doesn't have calcium in the ingredients. Most do.

Don't expect any grand results from anyone using ZMA, however, it should be used to keep important BB hormones at optimum levels. More often than not, it is not dramatic, but still a healthy choice.

Well, make sure you aren't getting one that has calcium in it. Every Zinc product I've seen at walmart has some sort of calcium in it. Target is a good place to get a brand that has no calcium.

Oh, I thought you were making your own ZMA...which is better option anyway.

Well, I wouldn't let those studies give you a big head. The results you will get from ZMA are anything but dramatic. It is a good option for normal, everyday health though, and it may prove to give some benefits in the long run as far as strength and mass.
There is a great thread about homemade ZMA started by K(same). Do a search. I think it is called "ZMA is a rip off", or at least something like that. You will find more stuff there about it then you will ever want to know."Building muscle is a science, and as such must have conclusions brought through by scientific, technical, methodical, and exact means...not by hearsay, gossip, and unfounded information.
