Antioxidant in green tea protects the skin from the harmful effects of free radicals, which cause wrinkling and skin aging. Green tea also helps fight against skin cancer.

    6. Green Tea and Arthritis
Green tea can help prevent and reduce the risk of rheumatoid arthritis. Green tea has benefit for your health as it protects the cartilage by blocking the enzyme that destroys cartilage.

    7. Green Tea and Bones
The very key to this is high fluoride content found in green tea. It helps keep your bones strong. If you drink green tea every day, this will help you preserve your bone density.

    10. Green Tea and Diabetes
Green tea improves lipid and glucose metabolisms, prevents sharp increases in blood sugar level, and balances your metabolism rate.

    11. Green Tea and Alzheimer's
Green tea helps boost your memory. And although there's no cure for Alzheimer's, it helps slow the process of reduced acetylcholine in the brain, which leads to Alzheimer's.

i like green tea and all, and i know there are some health benifits (dont know if all 25 of these are true...). however, the main reason i dont drink green tea much is becasue of the caffiene levels. my body is a sucker for caffiene - if i drink 2 cups of green tea every day for a week, the DAY i stop drinking it i feel impossibly tired and sluggish.

Surely not all of those 25 are scientifically proven, and based upon dodgy facts.

Can someone tell me how much caffeine green tea regularly contains?

Green Tea does, in fact, have many beneficial traits. As a Buddhist, drinking tea is a commonplace act. I prefer Green Tea, due to not only its health benefits, but its effects on the digestive system, stress and mental awareness.
A man has many strengths; strength of mind, body and spirit. If even one falters, the rest are affected. A strong man is complete.

I also read in a report in Iornman magizne that Black Tea has some of the same benifits as Green Tea. I was wondering what you thought about Black Tea v.s. Green Tea but in the end it does not really matter both are extremely good for you and I appricate you keeping the body building world informed of it's natural benifits!
The only person to blame for your sucesses and failures is you! Time to make a change and stop looking for the scapegoat!!!

Although I do feel good when drinking it. I seem to hold a little less water...I will just half my dosage for now and see how it goes..instread of 2 tea bags in the day, have one spread over 2 cups

Green tea is great, definitely seems to have some hidden benefits that coffee doesn't have. I drink puerh, which is basically green tea that is old as hell, supposedly very good for digestion. That being said, I work for a coffee company, so...keep drinking that coffee too, okay?

Taking in extra vitamin C will loosen your bowel movements. Once your body has reached saturation levels you'll squit. When you have a cold/body worn down etc. you can take in alot of extra vitamin C without opening the floodgates because your body is using it all(even upto 10g a day).

    # 9 about green tea and obesity. Yes green tea can improve your metabolism and help burn calories but you said if you eat right, exercise, and drink green tea it's unlikely you'll be obese. All due respect if you eat right and exercise it's unlikely you'll be obese even without the green tea.

Make it as 'trendy' as coffee and people might actually drink it.

    4. Green Tea and Weight Loss
Green tea helps with your body weight loss. Green tea burns fat and boosts your metabolism rate naturally. It can help you burn up to 70 calories in just one day. That translates to 7 pounds in one year.

WHAT?? 70 calories a day from drinking green tea? Are you sure? if its 70 cals per day you will burn waaayyy more fat a year than 7 pounds! 3500 cals=1lb!
