teas and even coffee can be really good but coffee has a real downside as the caffeine is high enough to mess with your adrenalin and blood sugar levels . The drop in blood sugars make you feel sluggish unless you have another cup and you cycle up and down introducing a cycle of energy that is not something you want. You don't need the energy crash all the time, you need sustainable energy by good nutrition not a quick shot that last a few hours and then another jolt of stimulant......that eventually overstimulates your adrenals and leave you tired or sleeping ......

All of the Arizona drinks I've seen have high fructose corn syrup in them. My guess would be that that would negate the positive effects of drinking the tea...

Thats what would piss me off when I moved back from Japan, you could find gallons of tea everywhere without any sugar. Try doing that in one of your local grocers here in the states.

WHAT?? 70 calories a day from drinking green tea? Are you sure? if its 70 cals per day you will burn waaayyy more fat a year than 7 pounds! 3500 cals=1lb!

    70*365 = 25550

    25550/3500 = 7.3 pounds

Bottled green tea is the only kind I've ever had. And I think it was Dr. Weil that said green tea should actually be green....not yellowish-brown like from these 20oz bottles.

I'd be willing to give it a try if it were more convenient to buy around here.

If you are ever near a Nijiya market, ask the shop keeper where they keep the Gyokuro, it is the highest quality green tea. Make sure the store is Japanese, if you ask anywhere else ( a non Japanese store) you may be given strange looks or worse a history lesson about ww2.

If I just bought Lipton Green Tea packages and put them in my morning shake of oatmeal, protein and a banana would that suffice? Or do I have to consume a certain amount a day a certain amount of times? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Is it ok to add a little milk/cream or sugar to the green tea or does that basically destroy the whole point of drinking it?

Just force it down for the first few times. After that, you'll acquire a taste for it.

I drink about 3 cups a day of it myself, which is probably too much... but I just love the stuff!

I've been drinking Honest Classic Green Tea. It's available at Sam's.
It could be sweeter, but I'm able to stomach it. I was thinking about adding a little honey to it? Maybe some local honey?
