    Does dieting make you angry?

So I've been on my 2300 calorie diet for a week and a half now and have lost around 5lbs. Also been lifting almost every day and doing 30min of cardio 4 days and 1 hour 1 day. Anyways I've just noticed I've been getting really pissed off recently. Like just anything will piss me off and sometimes I'm just pissed for no reason at all. Is this common?

That's what I'm thinking maybe its not the diet. It's not a very strict diet (even though I was eating almost twice the calories). Maybe its the exercise or something?

    simple answer .... yes.

happens to me all the time. but ive been on the diet for about 5 months. most people in my personal life know that its coming, becuase I cant show it at work, unfortunately I take it out on them.

but as long as they let me vent, I generally dont snap too often.

I'm usually in a great mood right after my workout at night, but during the day at work I just want to punch everyone.

This is not why you're angry. Yes, dieting can make you irritable.

I just think its weird because I'm not on a hardcore diet. I'm not trying to eat like 20 carbs. I don't really feel hungry or anything. I just can't eat a lot of the foods I use to. The lifting weight stuff makes some sense, but it's weird because I'm in a better mood right after working out.

Yeah dont know what to tell you.
some days I hover around 20-30 carbs and I am doing double cardio 5 days a week.
This has caused me to get short tempered, but at what you are doing I just cant see it. You make no mention of how many carbs here. Low Carbs may do it, but sounds like that is likely not what is going on.
I dont care how much weight you got there. full body curls dont count.

    Still learning

When I started dieting, I was moody for the first two months. Of course...being a woman, y'all might not find that so odd.
