Do You Use Moisturizer? (Men)

I ask this because of a debate I had yesterday with a younger bb.com member who suggested it was not manly. To which I told him that was a bunch of BS. I guess wisdom comes with age says it all. Sometimes.

No I don't. Not because it's "not manly" but because my skin is oily (face and head). Not disgustingly so, but enough that a moisturizer is unnecessary. I have to use something to control that. Witchhazel is effective. But if I needed a moisturizer on my face and head, I'd certainly use it. I don't use one anywhere else because I never got into the habit. Maybe I should.

I never have moisturized, I like the leathery skin look...LOL For some reason i have never needed it even when i spent all day in the sun and on the snow. My skin isn't overly oily or dry, maybe I'm just lucky.

Nope. However, as my goal is to compete in PL and later, OL again, I need my hands to be able to take a beating.

Massage oil works wonders, and a neutral base can be scented as desired.

Lotion where needed. Can't stand the white flaky skin look that I have seen on people. Special lotion stuff for the face after shaving, keep the brows in line, the stach trimmed short, ear hair to a minimum, pit hair short (brillo pad pits are the pits), etc. No one has dared call me a sissy yet!

I don't moisturize but I do poor safflower oil all over me every week or so after a shower. And sometimes my wife moisturizes my johnson with St Ives Aloe Vera on those kinky nights.

I wouldn't blow dry my hair every morning, though... it's really harsh on the hair and scalp. I ought to start doing something about my eyebrows. Do you do your eyebrows yourself or get them done?

never even considered it, until I moved to a desert state. It's so dry here, especially in the winter, that my skin goes all white (all over, especially legs) and flaky if I don't. Then it starts itching really badly! The first year I was here I thought I was having an allergic reaction to my washing powder or something until someone suggested it was dry skin.

My hands need it about 5x/day and still crack up.

No worries, man. I'm not being girly, either. I'm seriously curious because I hate messing with my eyebrows. It takes too much concentration... and I've never had professional help with them.

I would do it professional but something about what my pops said that still sticks to me and I can't break it. I know I know people think I am crazy but my own kids can not touch my face even when they were babies.

The only person who ever touched my face was/is my wife.

Whoever you got into an argument was retarded. I'm 18 and I moisturize when I wake up and when I go to bed. My girlfriend is going to school to become a cosmetologist and I learned that when you are moisturized your face doesn't need to produce as much oil which means no clogged pores which means less acne. I guess thats why theres so many "omg i have acne" threads in the teen section.

I have Teh Brezhnev eyebrows (sorta)



so when I try grooming them it's A LOT of work. One of my friends got me a gift certificate to a classy men's spa in Manhattan for an eyebrow wax... two years ago. LOL I still hadn't gone. I'm scurred.
