What did Arnold weigh in at contest form???

Let me first say that I am in no way shape or form trying to create another "arnold is god" thread. Simply as the title says, was curious what his various weights were at contests, primarily the olympias. Thanks.

Heaviest ever was about 250 at the '74 Mr. O (his biggest size ever). He lost some weight for a movie right after that ("Stay Hungry"), then gained most (but not all) of it back for the '75 Mr. O (where he weighed 240-245).

He was actually only 225 at the 1975 0lympia and was well under 250 in '74.

I would hate to have seen Arnold blocky and with a bloated gut. I think Ronnie realizes he needs to work on his symmetry and tighten his gut up, it's all good to have a distended gut in the off-season... but there is just no excuse to bring that gut onto the stage of the Mr Oylmpia.

during his first few Mr. universe's at ages 19-21..he was around 250 lbs. but not too cut..

in the more recent, 230-40ish

"That gut" you speak of is his internal organs, which have been enlarged by drugs. He cannot ever get rid of the gut. He can only make sure he tenses his stomach at all times, which is probably a difficult thing to do. It's not like he has alot of fat around his midsection. Ronnie will ever lose his gut as long as he stays on drugs. Hell, I don't even know if it'll shrink down once he stops competing!

Where the hell did you hear that? Multiple sites (in addition to Pumping Iron) lists his contest weight in '75 at 240-245.

Well, I've never heard Arnold as having been that big in '75. Never seen Pumping Iron, though. This is according to Mike Mentzer:

arnold's size changed all the time. if you go to his website and scroll thru the pages of pics, in some he is probably just over 200lb. then there are these certain pics, which i figure must have been taken around the same time, where he could not have weighed less than 250 and was certainly his all time biggest. id guess his average contest weight was between 235 and 245

Hmm...interesting. Still, from what I heard, Arnold slimmed down to 210-215 for Stay Hungry, and bulked back up to 240-245 for the '75 Mr. O. Pumping Iron itself says he weighed in at 245.

lol, yeah ... I'll have to buy the dvd. Regarding Arnold's weight, I would guess they exaggerated if they said that. I mean, his arm size and height were inflated, so ...

Iron Age has Arnold at 225 in '75 as well. Some good scaled comparitive pics between him and a few other famous bodybuilders of the ages on this page, too.

This same mind set and opinion you have must be what the judges had since they let Ronnie beat Dexter Jackson in Ab's at the 2k4 Mr O.
Ronnie did not look good at the Mr O 2k4 and all the booing from the crowd was sure sign others felt the same way.

Yeah 225-230 sounds about right ... i highly doubt he was 250, seeing as dorian was supposed to be the heaviest mr O of his time at just over 250 and he was way bigger.

Arnold weighed around 240 at the 1974 Olympia. In 1975, after filming Stay hungry, he weighed around 225, 230 tops but in no way 245, where do you guys get this from??

look at these pics, this had to be his alltime biggest. keep in mind hes 6-2, and look how filled out his frame is. i cant see him weighing less than 250 in these pics

he was at about 240 for contest...also keep it mind he fine tuned his body..
when he was 19, he weighed 250 lbs and he was huge, but blocky with no definition...
in those pics, he was 240 ripped, all muscle..every muscle group defined and well developed

FYI, Arnold is not 6'2, he's around 5'11. if you meet him you'll know.

i've stood shoulder to shoulder with jay cutler and can tell you he's 5'9...and ronnie is definitly 2 inches taller than him, and arnold is definitly 3 inches taller than ronnie...

when did everyone get this notion that everyone in the world of bodybuilding is a liar...

i guess i'm 6'3 and 265 lbs...and i'm natural too
