Physical appearance will attract me initially but if his personality sucks then I'm not staying for long. Good looks are stimulating to the eyes but a good personality is stimulating to the brain and ultamitely that's all that matters.

I think both male and females all care about looks and physical attraction is what initially (usually) brings people together. But if someone is only interested in another person because of their looks, they are shallow and have no idea how to really connect with a person.

I've been married to the same man for almost 22 years and think he is still the most handsome man I have ever seen. There is nothing physically about him that doesn't turn my head. We've been married since I was 19 years old and as he's aged he's even gotten BETTER looking! He takes great care of himself and I appreciate having a handsome man as my husband.

An outgoing/charismatic personality can sometimes trump looks, i.e., you can be average looking, but have a personality that makes average looks acceptable.

Looks are probably most important for most girls, but if you are as fun as a case of crabs, it doesn't matter if you look like Adonis, you aren't getting anywhere.

good looks + personality= easy score
bad looks + personality= score

Maybe in high school they do. There's always got to be some sort of physical attraction, but the good girls aren't as superficial as some people would have you believe.

IMO girls care as much about looks as guys do. Some ONLY care about looks and don't care about personalities. Others can look beyond someone who isn't as good looking if they have a good personality. I've always found the more someone grows on you the better looking they seem to become physically.
