Front squats are amazing! Develop your teardrops like none other! I love front squats, if you haven't tried them already, as you can see others agree, they rock

FRONT SQUATS hit quads best .........i used to do back squats 4-5 sets followed by front squats 3-4 sets and yes that was tough.........dont do either now because of lower back injury.
if you want good training advice , dont ask the biggest guy in the gym. ask the guy who's made the most improvement

ok, just checking....
I have been trying to develop the lower lateral head of my quads, and
"feet are about 2 feet in front of my body, heels touching, toes at 45 degree angle"
is pretty much EXACTLY what I have been doing, thanks! I was just wondering about the risk to my knees (when going all the way).
What I have been doing is some workouts I go all the way down, some I add more weight and stay above 90 degrees.

I get a better feel on them using constant tension.Last edited by Defiant1; 07-06-2005 at 01:18 PM.

There are IMO 4 exercises that will really give you size to your quads and thoes are Squats (Go figure right), Leg Extentions, Barbell Lunges, and Leg Presses. Thoes have given me exceptional gains. And i can feel it the next morning every time i do legs. I found that the best rep & set range is 4 sets and 8-12 reps. Hope this helps.

Squats are #1 in my book, followed by heavy leg presses, hacks and front squats in that order (again, it's MY book, so back off
). Leg extensions don't even rank on my list of quad builders, but I do think that lunges, though not the best option for mass, have their place.
