------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry to report that DON YOUNGBLOOD has passed away in his home, apparently the cause of death being a massive heart attack.
Don stunned the bodybuilding world by beating the previously "unbeatable" Vince Taylor at the 2002 Masters O. *Don went on to forfill his lifelong dream of competing in that years Mr. Olympia later that same year.
Don just celebrated his 51st birthday April 7, and ran a very successful trucking business in his home state of Arkansas with his wife and children.
On behalf of all the IFBB pros, I wish to express our deepest sympathies to the Youngblood family. Don was a champion bodybuilder, but more importantly a devoted husband, father and grandfather...he will be missed.

How many 51 year-olds who 1: don't smoke 2: don't drink, 3:aren't obese 4:are physically active Die from heart attacts??????????????????????? Bob, there's no denying that anabolic drugs tend increase cholestoral levels as well as other factors that can lead to heart problems. Read up.

The point of this, when someone is paying tribute to a friend, fellow competator, and someone who is deceased, MAYBE NOW IS NOT THE TIME GO SPOUTING OFF and how it may be potentially the fault of the deceased because of the lifestyle they chose.
Show some respect for the man and his grieving family. You want to talk about steroids and stuff, start your own f**king thread, or jump on one of the other ones that already exist."Liquify it, Blood Alliance....I ain't dying... I am Immortal"

One of the female college soccer players who died recently was a close friend of mine. And your comments about Don would be like someone saying to me "Shame to see anyone die so young, maybe she would be around if she didn't live the soccer lifestyle." And that would be bull**** although it may be true. there are risks everywhere, you have to pick the ones to take. I mean I could say maybe if people who died in car wrecks would still be alive today if they didn't live the driving lifestyle. I hate to go on and on with this thread and argue so I am done after this post. I just got all worked up. every sport could be a little safer but there are risks of dying with every sport short of playing chess.

Festus-
you're a complete and utter moron...as usual.
There are also hundreds of former pro competitors, alive and well and in their 60's 70's... some of them still compete! what about them??
Try and focus on the steroid problem where it's MORE prevelant...in the NFL.
Their dropping like flies over there...probably from the "football" lifestyle.Bob Cicherillo - IFBB Pro Bodybuilder

Thanks for sticking around the site, I know many pro's are gone and members like Festus are the reasons why. It is one thing to confront problems and argue in a mature way and it is another to be a moron and make ignorant statements. I met you at the Arnold expo Bob and you were a hell of a nice guy to me and my buddies. Anyway thanks for sticking around and sorry for making this thread a "bitch at festus thread" it should be all about Don's memory but Festus always gets me worked up. And a lot of other people...

M just not too long ago have surgery due to heart problems? he didn't use 'roids, I mean what the hell does a heart attack have to do with using 'roids?. . .*shakes head* ugggh
