    angle in decline bench press

    I was wondering how much of an angle do you need. I use a flat bench with stuff shove under it to make 1 side about 5inches higher- is that enough. If my feet can reach the ground should I try to drive them into the ground or just let them sit there? Thanks in advance

    It all depends on what part of the lower chest you want to work. Just like incline, some people, usually shorter people, like more of an incline to make them look taller. Usually, in my opinion, decline presses aren't at enough of an angle, so I put a 2 inch block under it.

    decline doesnt need to be more than 10% atleast....and i put a block of wood of about 4 inches under a flat bench. 5in should be enough . the usual decline in gyms is too much.use your feet to keep balance when you press.( on floor)
    if you want good training advice , dont ask the biggest guy in the gym. ask the guy who's made the most improvement

    use different angle as you switch your routines up
