I'm sorry but if it's not physical I don't consider it a sport.
I've yet to figure out why they show this BS on ESPN.Friendship b/w women:
A woman doesn't come home one night. The next day she tells her husband she slept over at a girlfriend's place. Her husband calls 10 of her best friends. None know anything about it.
Friendship b/w men:
A man doesn't come home one night. The next day he tells his wife he slept over at a friend's place. His wife calls 10 of the husband's best friends. 8 of them confirm he slept over, the other 2 claim he's still there.

It got so huge because in 2003, a regular guy, Chris Moneymaker, won the world series main event against some of, if not, the best players in the world. This started the phenomenon of regular ppl thinking that if he can do it, i can do it, sparking a huge poker boom. Unlike other sports, you dont need years and years of training and dedication to play with the best and at the turn of a card can become an instant millionaire. Thus explaining the rise of poker and also the prize money involved aswell, as long as there is lots of money to be won, these tournaments will always be around.

its a good money maker when they have nothing else to put on.. the major sports are only on so much
plus, its a game that everyone thinks they can play well.. people can be like, "oh i wouldnt of made that call.." and so on.. no one is gonna be like, "I would of hit that homerun or I would of made that tackle"MET-Rx/Pure Protein Board Rep
