Hey,
I just had some hamburger helper type stuff for the first time ever..
we almost doubled the amount of meat and used lean ground beed..
but doesn anyone out there have any good recipes where ground meat is the main ingredients and then adding spices/cheese or anything like that...

Although this isn't really a "recipe," I like making my ground beef w/ some taco mix and just eating it straight. The seasoning doesn't add a whole lot of calories.

spagetti sauce also adds some flavor to the meat. Also add some sausage but keep it minimal. Remember don't be scared of fat.

As xtreme420 said, pasta sauch is the best.
I grill up my burgers on the grill, place them in some pasta sauce (my mom makes the best sauce I've ever tasted) for about an hour. Throw it on a wheat bun, and I'm in heaven.Love the pain,

I like to cook about 1 cup of brown rice, then add 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef, a little onion and pepper and then mix in some non fat shredded cheese of choice ( amount of cheese may vary depending on bulking or cutting phase). And then you have enough for 2-3 great meals.

chop up a truckload of coriander, and green onions
add alot of ground cumin spice, bit of paprika and season with salt and pepper
honestly, the taste is delicious

Here's a weird one
1/2 cup of ground beef
2 cups of green beans
1/4 cup of diced onions
I like it because i get 2 out of the 4 cups of green veggies a day.
Done out of boredom.

Well she was to come back Sunday. But she's hasn't seen her fam in like 9 years. My phonebill is off the chain! We call each other every day. I must admit my lifts are geting better, because i wanna look diesel when she comes back. She'll be back on Saturday.

I always forget to include ground beef recipes in my meal plans. I am kind of scared to eat much of it. I guess because we are led to believe that it is to high in fat to include in a healthy diet. Would you use ground beef when trying to lose weight as well as gaining? If so it can be a nice break from chicken. --Greg

Yes. Anyting that's 90% lean or higher is ok for cutting. I used to think the same thing.

especially if you brown the beat and then drain out the fat..
then you also get all the benefits of eating red meat as well

Hamburger helper, just throw away the noodles. It's so good on tortillas with sour cream, lettuce, cheese and hot sauce. I started using instant mashed potatoes and can make Shepard's pie in 15 minutes.

Hmmm, wouldn't want to go the hamburger helper route, but I would spice it up a bit and add what you did and put it on a lettuce wrap. Yeah, I think I'll try that.
97~I hope Sunday comes around quickly for you I know how she feels, I too live pretty far from my family. I am glad she still visits them, it's soo needed. Hang in there buddy, Sunday is just around the corner
