Bodybuilding and cardio training are counted, but not playing sport.
Of course it is a full time proposition with lifestyle, rest and nutrition all being vitally important, but I thought it might be interesting to see how much time people actually spend training.
I train for 4.5 to 5 hours a weeks.

Been 5-6/wk but with the recent BB talk of time, intensity etc. one on one off & 90min max; shoot for 60+min. is looking more productive. Not that I want the rest; I NEED the rest. Gym is available 7 days so the 1on/off is doable.

6 hours weights, good intentions to do about 2hrs./week of cardio, but that doesn't always happen, especially in the Summer.

10-11 hours lifting
3-4 hours cardioYorkshireman I: Right! I had to get up in the morning, at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, eat a lump of cold poison, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill and pay mill-owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our dad would kill us and dance about on our graves, singing Hallelujah!

About 6 1/4 hours per week over 4 days
Could be less if my training partner and I weren't such good mates and spent a bit much time chatting
Day 1 - Legs [excluding calves]
Shoulders
Day 2 - Chest
Biceps
Day 3 - Back
Triceps
Day 4 - Calves
And some specialised stretching and rehab work for a niggly injury I have
Note the total lack abs - I make no apology for never doing abs, never felt the need to.

i lift 4 nights a week so, i'd guess 6 hours since i lift w/ hubby and he loves to chat it up with everyone (4 hours lifting & 2 hours chattting) i also do 4.5 hours of cardio a week, so that would be a grand total of 8.5 hours w/o the chatting
i'm a fatty now :(

Man, now I feel like a slacker with all of you training 8+ hours per week. I thought I was doing pretty well at 4 hours per week.

I do 20 minutes as hard as I can on my elliptical every morning as soon as I get up. I weight train 4 days a week for an hour during lunch, 3 evening a week I do a combination of walking/jogging/sprints for 1.5 to 2 hours while my son is at football practice. Sat/Sun I'll usually do another couple of 1 to 2 hour walk/jog sessions. That is my cutting scenario. Bulking I cut back to 2x20 minute cardio per week and then lift at lunch and after work for an hour a session.

I wish I could work out every day but I play sport everyday and for me sport is more important that weights. Weights are just a component for my development in sport. So I work out about twice a week and overall spend about 2.5 hours doing weights.
