back during the .com bubble, I was putting in long hours and fell in love with ECA. you guys remember - Xenedriene, Diet Fuel, Ripped Fuel, Hydroxycut, etc...

So of course I was pissed when the FDA decided to ban it because of some high-profile abuse. I have used the search button, but am looking for some conclusive info from everyone:

-I know ephedra is chemically _very_ similar to crystal meth, which is the main reason for the enhanced mood ephedra provided. Is there anything else that can create a similar focus?

-Besides Ephedrine-HCL+CY, what else is out there that is effective? keep in mind, not only am I after the enhanced mood that the old ECA stacks gave.(GREAT focus in the gym), but the energy too.

Ephedrine is not Ephedra. I think it's an alkaloid derived from Ephedra, making it behave much differently. Can anyone clairify?

Ephedrine HCL is far superior to Ephedra, unless you like to shake and feel jittery.

If you are after the "jittery shaking" effect, all you need is high doses of caffeine + tyrosine.

I found some old bottle of fat loss pills "Shaprite Shape-fast". It has 24mg of ephedra per pill. Will it get bad after not using it in years? I think its like 10 years old.

Nope.

No you've got them mixed up. With ephedra you didn't know which alkaloids you were getting from batch to batch and sometimes pill to pill. With ephedrine you know what you are getting because it is exactly the same every time (disregarding stim tolerance and other conditions of taking it).

I've never tried an HCL product that seemed "better" than another quality wise.

Focus-wise there is the prescription drug Provigil. Its been used by fighter pilots to keep them awake, but awake AND focused (so no jitters from caffeine and whatnot)

I, too am a huge ephedra fan. I stocked up on Yellow Swarm at the tail end of the ban But I need to ration that wisely.

For an energy boost, I use Spike by Biotest. It tastes good, its calorie free, and if you sip it slowly you'll get a constant stream of energy. 300mg of caffeine in it, so no wonder!

go to CVS, ask the pharmacist for a box of full strength Bronkaid. It contains 25mg of ephedrine sulfate, works great, and cost $6.69 a box. i think you are limited to 2-3 boxes a month though. quickest, cheapest, easiest way right there and while you are there, pick up some caffeine tabs and you'll be set.
