Takine a Week off - Should I cut my calories

I've finally realized that I've been overtraining so I've decided to take a week off from lifting. Should I continue a high protein, high carb diet during this off time? BTW, my goal is to put on mass.

Another question: During a normal lifting week, should your calorie/protein/carb in-take remain the same even on your off days? I'm always tempted to eat less on my off days to avoid gaining to much fat.

    Thanks!

if you have been over training and are attempting to recover, does cutting calories seem wise?

give yourself adequate food to maximise recovery otherwise taking time off training was a waste and you'll be even further behind where you could be

Overtraining is sickness, and believe it or not your body burns a TON of calories from being sick. I dropped from 148 to 117 from a prostate infection, and I ate. Trust me, did I eat lol. Yeah I'd keep active in your every day life, walk around, garden, but eat very well. I think I might be on the brink of overtraining myself.

You could decrease your carb intake or drop one of your meals (go from 6 down to 5 meals) . Increase fat intake slightly.
