    Patroling with severe DOMS

I work as a Patrolmen and so I work long nights in and out of my patrol vehicle, up and down stairs, plus tonnes of walking and unfortunately sometimes running.
I have to do my leg routine on the first morning of my days off, cos the first 3 nights are excuciating, and the pain will continue a couple more days into my working week.
Becos of this I have been ignoring my leg workouts and just not doing them at all, which I know will catch up on me.
Becos I am shortish I have excellent legs for bodybuilding. porgy calves and thighs like a rugby player so its a shame I dont work them.

Thanks guys for any help you can provide me, Ive had a look though this forum and have seen some good ideas. but Im putting my bit in also just to say Giday to you all as I am new to your forums

    Cheers Mike

Make sure you warm down properly after your leg workout,
get on the stationary bike and just cruise easily, nothing full on its not for cardio, and make sure to stretch properly as well

Yeah, when I have time to get a bit of light cardio in after my leg workout it seems to help with the DOMS quite a bit.

Canned salmon will give you some good fats as will other fish but I'd still supplement with a good fish oil cap if you can afford it.

Eventually, you will get used to it and the DOMS should be substantially less.

I have the same problem.. i rarely feel any soreness or pain in upper body, but even after 3 years of back squat and hack squat i still feel intensly sore and stiff for 2-4 days after... I have difficulty climbing stair and even walking

even after fixing my nutrion and supplement I still feel it..
I tried heavy weight for 4-8 reps and moderate weight for 10-15 reps and dosent make any difference..

I think this is hapening because of the heavy strech from below parallel squat (ass to the grass style)

please help me , i'm about to quit my leg training ....

the canned stuff tends to be high salt, so you may check for that.
