    God ...the cravings are comming!!!

Hey guys i've been eating freakin' clean for the past 3 months now with no problems ...prolly had like 4-5 cheat meals (as in truely unhealthy meals) in this time frame. I just recently started carb cycling last sunday. In the past i would never have cravings. But now ..holy ****.. all i can think about all day is carl's jr. , mcdonalds, jack in the box, hawaiin food. **** i even fantasize(yes fantasize) about my carb day meals(brown rice, sweet potatos). It's so bad that tomorrow is my high day and i just have to get some hawaiin food in me (healthier than burger king). I originally prided myself on my strong willpower, which i do have...but i was wondering what you guys do about this problem, or if you even have this problem ..so that i can tell i'm still mentally sane. Thx!

Weird dude - must be that time of the year. I am experiencing the exact same thing right now - I was fine for about 4 months with cutting, but now that I've started bulking and adding calories back to my diet - I want to binge all the time. I gave in on Sunday to some onion rings, box of cereal, baked potato soup, redi-whip, apple pie, and hamburger helper...I worry because Saturday I'm supposed to eat 3,100 clean calories according to my nutrition plan - this could easily lead be back down the road of binge. I have no real advice because I'm struggling with the same thing - so you're not alone (no homo)

WTF? Anyways, I have found that when I have cravings for fast food I go and get a 99 cent cheeseburger and eat with a huge mixed green salad and a glass of water. I know it is still bad for you (the cheeseburger) but you get full and you don't eat all the fries and drink all the soda.

Wouldnt be human if you didnt get the urges bro. When I was trying to cut fat, i'd actually open my roomates pizza boxes just to stare at the pizza inside, and smell it. Its bad, but you can get past it. I have one cheat meal a week unless I slip. I held out a long time on the cravings but we were raised on the good stuff and the need for it never really goes away. What helps me control them is a good hot shower (Always helps me to think strait), some pictures of my bodybuilding idols, or some pictures of some beautiful women. All help put me back in my place. Its just food, dont let it rule you.

    buy some semi-cheat foods...
im a portato chip fanatic, i just used to snack on them all the time and love eating them (stupid brain)
what i did instead was buy rice crackers and rice cakes.. i enjoy them as much as chips and they just have a few carbs in them and nothing else..
    do things like that

same thing happened to me. i think a little cheat phase is okay as long as you keep your mind on the greater master plan... and don't lose sight of it.

Dude if you haven't had a good junk day in 3 months, it's time to go on an eating spree. Treat yourself. You only live once. Hell Rich Franklin the UFC fighter trains hard all week but on sunday he doesn't train and pigs out huge. The other 6 days he's as clean as can be. A lot of people have planned cheats. Some people once every 2 weeks and so forth. It won't kill you believe me and your loses may even benefit from this cheat day.

Sometimes I wonder if it's the change in seasons that brings the cravings. Cause I get them too.

Perhaps the body knows that summer is winding down (at least in N. America) and the cold months are coming, so we've got to pack on as much fat as possible to survive the cold winter months. There won't be as many bears, deer, etc... running around to eat.

    Any thoughts?

You're gonna have to suck it up and tell your brain to shut the **** up. I did, and I can pretty much say no to anything now, no matter how long it has been since I ate. Eventually, you learn to turn hunger and cravings in general off, as it's all a mental battle.

    Any thoughts?

you know that is a very interesting way of thinking about it. Cause I genuinely don't get cravings..but now i do..and fall is rolling around. It all just makes so much sense. Also back in the day i used to eat whatever the fck i wanted ..so that's also why i never got cravings.

I always try not to eat those that Im craving while cuttin. but once you start to think about something that you wanna eat.... sooner or later, I always end up eating it. I learned from experience and, now what I do is , Forget about dieting a day or 2 days or 3 days and eat whatever you are craving the most and some others til you dont wanna eat anymore!!!!!!!!!! after that, really easy to start dieting again. Some might think youd get fat in those days but.... Dont worry, Ive done it somany times and, Ive been making progress

while that might work for you, it wont for me because i didn't go to the gym for 3 days once and then those 3 days turned into a week.

yeah i can't just ...stop for 3 days. No way, i'm too commited...this won't be forever anyhow. I'm not going to cut till i'm 55 years old non-stop. When i get to where i like to be i'll start incorporating more cheat meals into my diet and eat at maintenance which at my height and activity level is a lot of calories.

Thx!
Not being funny buddy but you look great!. The cravings will come and yes you've had good will power but as long as you dont keep eating crap you'll be fine.

Enjoy yourself but make sure you dont let the cravings and cheats run over more than 1 or two days at the most.

I know I'm a fatty but I've been there before, but I'm losing again now and lost 23lbs so far in under 3 months so know what its like.

I love beer and crap food more than most

Well on the opposite side of things. About 3 hours ago I had a Chinese with the missus (she was craving not me, but she's also incredibly slim) I had some crap and actually wanted to puke it up. Not only did I not enjoy it but its been left heavy on my stomach all night. I feel like crap having it and am not happy with a wasted cheat meal.

Ho hum, I'll be super strict tomorrow even though its the weekend and I'm teased with the thought of a nice fry up tomorrow. Not worth it! Not for me at the moment anyway.
