    Freezer protein bar

    Ok, here's the recipe for a protein and peanut butter bar I was looking for.

    25g whey powder
    30g natural peanut butter
    20g coconut milk.

    Mix everything together. Lay it out on waxy paper, cover and freeze for a couple of hours. It comes out all chewy and yummy.

    By the way, when you are making it, don't be tempted to add in more coconut milk, thinking the recipe is wrong. You have to mash away for a while, but it does come together.
    65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs = keto.

    Could a guy top it off with some Coconut oil? Or mix that in as well?

    i guess it beats the purpose of taking coconut oil.

    Coconut oil contains medium chained triglycerids (MCT's), which are metabolised faster and differently than other fats AND are used preferentially to make ketones.

    That's nice if you're looking for an energy boost (lot's of ketones in the blood) just before the gym. However, it's useless with regards to the goal of losing fat because this whole diet is made to promote a different metabolic pathway : the one used to tranform other fatty acids into ketones.

    So if you're eating those bars for a snack, it's better to have regular fatty acids (other than MCT's) in them. And if you are indeed looking for the energy boost coming from MCT's, well you better get those in pure form (ie. coconut oil melted in coffee). So either way, i wouldn't put coconut oil in those bars, except if you just enjoy the taste or something.
