How many calories should I eat to cut?

I'm 22 y/o, 6'1 175 lbs... looking to cut a few lbs... I do 350 calories of cardio 5-6 days a week and I just started lifting 3x a week. Mostly looking to tighten up, especially the abs.

My calories for the past few weeks have been in the 1600-1800 range. I've tried to do the formulas for my weight, but they seem way too high. What's a good range and should I gradually work up to it?

2000 per day................with all the exercising you do it is important to get enough food in you each day. If you eat to little it will be hard for you to gain muscle.

I've been eating like this for over a month... so my metabolism is probably pretty low.

How should I work up to 2,000? Gradually? I figure I'll try to eat more and more chicken every day.

I dont know why you would need to work up to it.
