I don't really think Baltimore will win in New England, regardless of anything really. Patriots don't lose at home, won't lose at home, however after the first round they are on the road every single game in all likelihood, so yeah...

Also I agree that San Diego is gonna be a difficult one, but I'm gonna just see what happens.

As Brady already stated on WEEI Radio on Dennis & Callahan yesterday, "Although you can't replace Welker, we have to keep moving. Our offense was very Wes-oriented. It will be very difficult for opposing defenses in the post-season because we're going to introduce many new components to our offense that you haven't seen this year."

I'm very excited to see how the Patriots respond without Wes Welker. We have two WR's (Edelman & Stanback) who were college QB's. I've been waiting all year to see at least a few wildcat plays out of this team and I think the time has come. With Kevin Faulk healthy I hope we return to the classic Patriots screen-game that we haven't really seen much of this year. With a devasted O-Line (only 2 replacements on the depth chart) I think the Pats will shy away from their balanced offense of this season and trend toward a pass heavy offense that will set-up the run.

Should be interesting to see and I personally can't wait.

They are perfectly capable of moving the ball without Wes Welker... and like Brady said the new compenent will confuse the defenders.

I am sure Baltimore will double up on Randy Moss over the top with Ed Reed. Personally, Ed Reed scares the crap out of me... I wouldn't throw it in the same zip code as that guy. He rapes QB's for a living...

But I suspect Kevin Faulk and Eldelman really throw them for a loop.

Other problem is that Ray Lewis is the best there has ever been at diagnosing a screen play- and the linebacker crew of Johnson, Lewis, Suggs is one of the best in the NFL.

I predict the Patriots win Sunday- but it will be ugly and physical and Baltimore makes mistakes and penalties to lose it just like last time.

I think the pats win by more than they did last time. Brady is def looking lot better since the last time these teams met.

Most exciting post-season I've witnessed in a long time (barring the road to perfection). There is so much parity in the AFC that any team could honestly upset the Colts and Chargers. Similar story in the NFC. Can't wait, it could be anyone in the Super Bowl.

...and I hope it's the Pats

let them do what they want. TB will put the ball in Firm's hands and B-Watts will torch them in the redzone.

LoMo can do some real damage if he can hold on to the stupid ball. And big vince better eat some children if he wants a big money contract this offseason.

I didn't say we weren't able to move the ball without him, I've just been waiting for the two guys I named to take some direct snaps and do some random wildcat ****, but we haven't done it at all, and I hope we can do some stuff in the playoffs with them.

Although I think they'll mostly use Edelman in the slot doing Welker-esque stuff, and Brady will have to spread the ball around a bit more because of all of the heat Moss will have.

that's what they should do brah. F the wildcat, we don't want anybody taking snaps other than the 3-time SB champ.

This for sure. Pats defense wins or loses the game.

Brady is still Brady and the Patriots are always the Patriots. They will score at least 17 points even on a strong Ravens Defense.

Can the Patriots stop the Ravens from scoring more? That's the question.

I think the pressure is on the Pats defense. Specifically- stopping the run.

I don't know. The much vaunted Ravens D isn't what it was, and Flacco hasn't exactly been stellar this year. As long as we can contain the pass-rush, I see no reason why we can't score pretty freely on them, aside from Ed Reed, who is just one guy, their secondary isn't very good, imo.

Our D of course will be under a lot of pressure. Stopping Ray Rice off the tackles, and in the screen game will be tough, and looks like McGahee will be smashing it up the middle, so we need Wilfork back in there, because it's obvious Brace is nowhere near ready for that.

Pats v. Ravens games are always down to the wire it seems and the Pats really squeaked out the win against them earlier this season. Welker out hurts but I think Edelman can be decently productive. The only good thing to come of this is that people are more focused on Welker than the fact that Maroney is officially a bust.

Welker getting hurt doesn't change really hurt their chances that much, IMO. It's not like the Pats were blowing teams out offensively this year like they were in 07', they're going to need their defense and running game to step up which would have been the case anyways.

Tom Brady wishes he was half as talented and a quarter as good looking as Aaron Rodgers.

I know Maroney is much maligned, and I'm a big critic of his, but he has got in the endzone a lot when he's been given the ball, and has shown some improvement with his running in general. I realise he has done a lot of things badly, but he's come a long way.

I wouldn't call him an official bust just yet.

Yeah, he get's into the endzone alot...from like the 4 yard line or less. Fred Taylor and Morris can do that too.
