I wish we hadn't give up on Colombo so early. We could've really used him.
I rep back 500+ every time.

Oh okay. Well from the injury report posted earlier in this thread it doesn't seem like such a sure thing that those guys will be back this week. The Bears D looked really solid and if they can limit their mistakes on offense they should be able to make a game of this and possibly steal one from Dallas.

It's not even a matter of hindsight or missing. It's a matter of Angelo being completely oblivious to the teams needs and drafting defensive reach picks (Mostly defensive lineman and LB's).
Everyone who followed the Bears knew the offensive line was aging after the SuperBowl run but he ignored it, Olin Kreutz is clearly in the twilight of his career and has been talking about wanting a replacement center that he could groom for a couple of years but that still hasn't materialized.
It's infuriating, especially after the Cutler trade.

lol it's too early for this bro, hate to say it
I have nothing but high hopes, and had them before we even made all those coaching changes etc, but I have a terrible feeling that the closest thing to a decent qb that we've had as long as I can remember may be jeopardized by injury if something doesn't change.
Cutler was a little too slow getting up a few times there for my liking, he's a tough dude, but I dunno man something has to happen b4 we're really f'ked without a qb for the rest ofthe season
makes me feel great seeing those kind of numbers out of him though, even with that stupid int., and even though it was against the Lions.*80 pushups before going anywhere in public crew*

I think the way they were using Forte in the passing game will help the Bears problems on the o-line. RB screens are the best medicine for a blitz.
And every QB in the league should fear Peppers.

09-15-2010, 02:26 PM #7580The Chicago Bears are bringing back linebacker Rod Wilson to fill the void created by putting Hunter Hillenmeyer on the injured list, according to a league source.I rep back 500+ every time.

I want the Bears to win obviously, but the D-line has to have the game of their lives if they want any chance of winning. The Bears secondary can't handle all of the pass-catchers the Cowboys have.
What should be interesting is seeing how much they blitz. Obviously when you blitz that means there's a lot of man to man. Not one DB on the Bears can cover Austin, or even Dez Bryant, 1 on 1. And if they decided not to blitz, Romo will pick them apart.
I want to be positive, but it's very hard. Sure, the Cowboys did not look that good last week, but the Bears are simply overmatched. Tommie Harris needs to show up this week or it's going to be a long day.
Edit: Obviously if Cutler throws for 300 with 3 TD's, and the running game shows up...then the defense can play ****ty. But I'm talking about with an average offensive performance above.

While i'll agree with you that their D-line has to play well, i dont think they're secondary is as bad as u say it is. Charles Tillman is a solid cover corner, and i think he can handle Dez (i'm assuming they'll put Tillman on Bryant and Bowman on Austin) but yah i agree, their entire front 7 will have to show up like they did last week if they want a chance to win.

LMAO at burned one time.
Do you not remember Antonio Bryant burning him?
Do you not remember Steve Smith burning him?
Those are just of the top, I'm sure there's plenty more.
They've been needing to put Tillman at safety for a long time now.
