Exclamation Creatine & Cirtus = BAD?

I found this section in an article about creatine...

"Note: it is discouraged to use caffeine while on creatine; while creatine makes your muscles hold water, caffeine will do the opposite, thereby reducing the effects of the creatine intake.

Don't mix creatine with citrus juice. Orange, grapefruit, cranberry, in fact, most fruit juices have been most recently found to neutralize the activity of creatine monohydrate. The reason is the waste product creatinine develops. A lot of you put creatine on your tongue and drink it down with grapefruit juice. If you have taken creatine this way in the past, stop it now! You are not getting creatine, you're getting waste product.

Do mix creatine monohydrate with warm water--in a glass. This is the only way to ensure you're getting the full benefits of creatine in its dry form. Creatine does not have to dissolve to be effective.

Do be sure to drink a full eight ounce glass of good water 8 times a day. Creatine pulls water from other parts of the body to perform its work in cell volumization of the muscle. This is what makes the muscle larger and firmer. Replenish your H2O!"

Is all this TRUE? Because I've been taking my creatine with citrus juices AND I've been intaking more caffeine. I just started using creatine, so I'm still on th eloading phase. PLEASE help me out ASAP.

    Question

WOW? Nice help buddy. It's people like you that make this forum that much more useless. NEWAY....

I'm doing loading phase because I thought it would just benefit my gains. What do you suggest doing if I dont load? Do I just take 5 grams after a workout? That seems much better than pissing away my money on loading creatine but I need someone elses opinion who also does it. The link to the article is http://www.bla.net/opul/crfaq.htm

    Nevermind

Ok I found what I was looking for...

"1. 100 percent pure creatine monohydrate - It's a white powder(not unlike baking soda) that is basically tasteless and odorless. You can mix it in water, juice, protein shake, etc. Do not, however, mix creatine with a citrus drink. The combination of creatine and a citrus drink may result in some
breakdown of the product, converting creatine into creatinine, hich is useless to your body."

    Thanks for you help....kinda...

most agree that a loading phase isn't necessary but they do agree on taking 5 grams preworkout and 5 grams postworkout.

s it Necessary to Load on Creatine?

No it is not necessary to load but it can help you see results faster. You see to get the full benefit of creating you must saturate your muscle cells with it. Using a small dose (5g), this will take up to thirty days depending on the individual's lean body mass. However using a loading dosage of 15-25g per day for 5 days, one can quickly saturate the muscle cells in this time period and then use a maintenance dosage (3-5g) for the remainder of their time taking creatine. (Recent research shows that a loading phase longer than 3 days is useless - Icex999)

    To anwser your loading phase.

A higher number maybe...I'm not sure you understand the chemistry...

    PH scale goes 0-14,

    0 being extremely acidic,

    14 being extremely basic,

    7 is neutral.

So the gastric juice's PH level of 0.8 makes it much more acidic than Orange juice at 3.5.

The ammonia would be a fairly strong base. You can think of a base as a cleaning agent, the higher the better.
